Giants D versus Carolina

or

Panthers D versus NYG?

I'm torn. And I think my fandom and memories of the Panthers thrashing the Giants recently is clouding my judgement.

Kind of a homer pick but I'd say Carolina D. I'm still not sold on Carolina's offense yet, but we ran all over the Giants last year and they have not done much on defense to make me think differently this year.

That being said.

J. Stewart vs Giants or J. Addai vs Houston

^^ tough one

The Giants will probably get at least one interception from Moore trying to force to the ball to Smitty in coverage, and I don't really see Carolina scoring more than 17 so that might be the way to go. Especially since our offense didn't score at all in the preseason.

^ Addai

That could be a shoot-out of a game.

^^ I like J Stewart there. Look for the Panthers to run, run, then run more. I dont think Moore is going to throw that much. If you are in a PPR league take Addai...he will probably catch a few checkdowns but he isnt going to rush for much.

Steve Breaston, Johnny Knox, or Jabar Gaffney

PPR (.5) league, and I already have steve smith and josh cribbs starting (this is a league where return yards count half of receiving, so cribbs is a no brainer)

Shit, looks like Beanie Wells will be out. Only have Maroney and Sproles on the bench.

Peterson. And I'm in a 16 team league, so there is pretty much nothing available on waivers.

^^^^ Gaffney would be a good choice in a PPR league

^ Avoid Maroney so that leaves Sproles.

youre welcome. This guy helped me out a ton last season. unfortunately they got smart and are charging like $40 a year to access the premium website, which the sit/start live chat will become part of starting in week 2. this week is free though, so use it if you are undecided. he answers your questions fast

Need 1 RB of the 3. Normally Shonn will be my man but I know he's going up against a tough D.

Shonn Greene
LeSean McCoy -- He is my gut choice despite GB's run defense
Knowshon Moreno

I'd still go with Greene. The packers D is just as good, if not better than Baltimore's D.

Couple last minute Q's for my $$$ league:

Brady vs CIN or Romo vs WAS

Wayne vs HOU or Jackson vs GB

Finley vs PHI or Gates vs KC

Rice vs Jets or Jones-Drew vs DEN

RE: QB. Definitely Brady if you're asking me.

One more question:

Top two WR: Andre Johnson & Brandon Marshall

Need to pick the third between:

Sims-Walker
Crabtree -- seems to have the best matchup
Breaston

That's a tough call^ Flacco hands down usually but with the Jets D, who knows. I thought McNabb was somewhat hurt? Flacco has looked damn good in the preseason

yeah, the Jets D is the only reason why I am questioning him (and given that I have the Jets as my defense means something's gotta give)

you gotta go with hightower there against StL and their terrible defense. The browns defense isnt that bad this year.

also, Laurence Maroney is OUT today against the bengals

I'm thinking about starting Tim hightower over Cedric Benson, Wells will only get a handful of snaps if he plays at all against a terrible St Louis run defense. Anyone else got an opinion?

yeah, I think the kicker is that we get 1/2 point per reception and he will be Anderson's safety valve. I'm gonna roll the dice with Hightower, I sure hope I dont get burned

Take Hightower since its PPR. Wells wont play much, if at all, especially if the Cardinals get a lead.

Ehhh Ronnie Brown caught 14 passes in 9 games last year. I consider Brown a true RB whereas Hightower is more of a Marshall Faulk or Reggie Bush....not big enough to run through the tackles consistently but more dangerous in the open field. Hightower will be more successful as a check down for Anderson and he is the main back.

At the same time the Bills have a bad run defense so Ronnie could have a big game but Ricky will be taking some snaps.

i like Brown when he's healthy, go ahead and use him imo

i think he's a top 10 back when healthy

might as well use him before he inevitably gets hurt somewhere between week 3 and 12

the good thing about having jake d. do well is maybe I can scam somebody in a trade with a couple good games to pick up a better RB or WR
