Zeller was fouling the entire 2nd half, Henson and Zeller absolutely ripped Leslie down one time and didn't get a foul, Barnes doing the scream on the basket, Knox with LoBrown, etc. You honestly can't deny that there was a lot of bullshit going on.

We beat ourself on freethrows tonight.

We need to develop a high low game with Tracy. He's been forcing the ball the past 5 games or so. The problem is, we don't have a guard who can consistently knock down the 3. If Harrow or Brown can get the 3 ball going, we'd be a different team.

Defensively, Smith is simply to short to guard Carolina inside. It's been that way since Lowe arrived.

On a high note, I'd put our 3 freshmen up against UNC's any day of the week. I think we are 1 class away from being a really really solid basketball team.

I was SHOCKED we somehow didn't get T'd up there.

Best part of my night was heckling the ref who ate the court as the refs left after the game. My seats were right at the end of the entrance where the opposing team/refs come out, so I got a few good words in when Carolina came on/off the court. I also got blown a kiss from Henson at the end of the game.

I am definitely pleased with the effort tonight...We played hard all game and hustled a lot. But, that doesn't make up for the fact that we lost, which sucks. The refs definitely let the players play tonight. That call on Lorenzo Brown for a rebounding foul int he second half was awful...

I haven't read through the whole thread, but what exactly happened on the play where Wood got the ball at the top of the key and Barnes was completely faked out and then Wood found someone, maybe Smith, for a wide open dunk? I know Barnes was flopping all play trying to draw a foul on Wood (a really terrible of job of flopping too) and I think Wood was getting pissed. But I couldn't actually see what Wood did to fake Barnes out so much...Barnes turned completely around and was very confused.

Fuck Henson and Fuck Barnes and Fuck UNC.

I got a few of us on one side arguing with some wal-marters on the other side after Barnes airballed that shot. I said something to the effect of "sweet All-American you've got there Carolina", and they started babbling back...so I said "what year did you graduate Carolina?" because none of them clearly had, and then they just shook their head. Then a bunch of people on our side just kept hounding them about it. I'll admit, though, they had a pretty good defense. Pointing at their jersey really got me

It pains me to think what we could have done this game with Howell in there tonight, particularly with TBDV getting in to foul trouble. Personally, I think Howell would have had a better game than Tracy did, partly because he rarely would have gotten doubled. Even if he did, he usually pops it back out. Don't know what got in to Tracy tonight that he just refused to dish it back out to the open man late in the game.

^^I really don't know how much Howell would have helped. He cannot jump and he doesn't have the height to matchup with Henson. He wouldn't have brought much to the table offensively just because he is a shorter big man and not exlposive...Henson and Zeller would have blocked his shots. Vandenberg played his role extremely well. I'm just not sure Howell matches up well with UNC's big guys.

^^somebody took a swipe at a UNC fan last night in our section. Dude was wearing a crown in section 124, full carolina blue outfit with carolina blue chuck taylors and this obnoxious crown. Around half time he starting walking up and down the stairs and even had a long conversation with the ticket guy at the entrance to the student section behind the basket. Not sure what he was doing but I remember thinking he was acting a bit like a douche. With 1 minute to go we start to head for the exit and a pack fan 3 or 4 ahead of me leans down and starts to talk to the kid. They are clearly exchanging some "shit-talk" when the state guy grabs the crown from his head (this is a heavy realistic looking purple/metal crown) and two hand slams it on the kids head like he is smashing a pumpkin. I didn't stay for the aftermath but I heard there might have been some blood and potentially a bit of crying. A few state fans sitting behind the carolina fan came to his rescue and started screaming at the guy, but at that point I think he knew he went to far and I saw him run out towards the concourse. Anybody else witness the same event?

the Barnes/Henson shit talking to our freshmen has been going on since the Pro-Am at NC Central this past summer (maybe earlier), Reggie Bullock also did a bunch of trash talking at the event as well.

I remember being at the game where all of our freshmen played against UNC's players and thinking that a fight was going to break out, especially between Lorenzo Brown and Reggie Bullock, they were going toe to toe out there.

I agree that I would completely support our team (and coaches) if we played this hard every game.
