That was an absolutely terrible analogy.

except our team isn't an experienced whore it is made up of a bunch of timid virgin receivers. If we weren't going through a massive overhaul at the WR position TOB would have likely invited Wilson back with open arms. New WR means a definite need of more reps for the starting lineup INCLUDING THE QB.

let me break it down for you
miscommunication and lackluster offense = sucking in bed

someone who had a lot of practice is the whore while someone who didn't have practice is the virgin and said virgin came out and fucked the shit out of dude on the honeymoon. You marry the best girl. Bottom line.

^^^ Yet you are somehow sure that they would have been more on the same page with a QB they didn't practice with? Makes a lot of sense to me

"No. 11 Wisconsin 51, UNLV 17. They seem to like Russell Wilson all right up at Camp Randall, both on the field and in the stands. The N.C. State castoff turned up, won the starting job, was elected a team captain, and then put on just the kind of fireworks show Bret Bielema likes to see, with the added bizarro-for-Wisconsin twist of displaying mobile, working feet. Wilson threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another, the first score coming at the end of a seven-play drive that covered 65 yards and took just three minutes. And, considering the score, he didn’t really have to do all that much, completing 10-of-13 passes for 255 yards and gaining 62 more on two carries. His passing efficiency rating for the evening, 292.5, is straight out of the first-week follies bloodbath canon."

^ need to read the asterisk at the bottom of the stat table

* To qualify, a player must have at least 14 attempts per team's games played

Wilson only through 13 times in the first game

If you don't like the TOB decision, fine. If you agree with him, fine.

This is a legitimate discussion as it is going to be a story talked about all year long. As long as people don't go to far with their arguments I'm not going to lock this thread despite what ANYONE wishes.

If people start firing up FIRE TOB threads every time Glennon turns the ball over or anytime RW scores a TD, then they will be deleted and the user suspended.

If people start personally attacking either RW (this goes for you aaronburro) or TOB (this goes for you The E Man), they will be warned and then suspended from this point forward.

This WILL NOT turn in to the Lowe circus. And anything that tried to turn this thread off topic, I deleted. This includes random pictures/graphs about cell phones and other youtube clips.

lol

The chances of legitimate non hateful/trolling discussion in this is less than zero. Its a much too emotional topic. People that root for UCONN and pull for UNC over Duke simply can't grasp it.

So what took you so long to decide that personal attacks to coaches/players should just now get a warning?

And really. If you do pull for unc-ch over duke your modship on this board should be revoked immediately.

Aside from the two I specifically mentioned I don't see anyone else doing it here. If you did, let me know. Saying you would rather have Glennon or saying TOB made a bad decision isn't a personal attack.

And you have 28k posts, surely you knew that regarding Duke. It's been common knowledge for the better part of a decade now and has nothing to do with anything really.

For those of you who don't have ESPN insider...

Quote :
"Griffin, Wilson lead Heisman race
By Ryan McCrystal
ESPN Insider

It's only Week 1, but first impressions can go a long way in the Heisman voting process.

A season ago it was Denard Robinson bursting onto the scene with his air-and-ground attack that would ultimately lead to a sixth-place finish in the Heisman voting. This year it's Robert Griffin III's turn to steal the show.

He may be a long shot -- the Baylor Bears haven't had an offensive player as a consensus All-American since Lawrence Elkins in 1964, let alone a Heisman winner -- but after the first weekend, Griffin sits atop the Heisman Predictor.

At this point in the season, the Predictor doesn't incorporate the polls (that will come once the BCS rankings are released), which allowed Griffin to take a slight lead thanks to his five-touchdown performance against the TCU Horned Frogs on Friday night.

And as long as the Bears keep winning, Griffin is not going anywhere.

Baylor has four winnable games before an Oct. 15 showdown against the Texas A&M Aggies, at which point we will discover whether Griffin's Heisman hopes are realistic.

Big Ten quarterbacks shine

Week 1 Standings

The rankings after Week 1 based on Heisman Predictor points
Player School Points
Robert Griffin III Baylor 94.0
Taylor Martinez Nebraska 93.0
Russell Wilson Wisconsin 93.0
Landry Jones Oklahoma 92.0
Andrew Luck Stanford 90.5
Trent Richardson Alabama 84.5
Marcus Lattimore South Carolina 84.5
Justin Blackmon Oklahoma St 69.0
LaMichael James Oregon 68.5
Kellen Moore Boise State 60.5

Thanks to Ohio State's expected step backward this season, the door is open for some new faces from the Big Ten to enter the Heisman discussion.

Nebraska Cornhuskers QB Taylor Martinez and Wisconsin Badgers QB Russell Wilson stepped up with strong Week 1 performances, each accounting for three scores in victories. That gave them a slight edge over preseason favorite Landry Jones of Oklahoma.

Martinez or Wilson will be effectively knocked out of contention on Oct. 1 when their teams square off in Madison, but the more goodwill they can earn with voters before that game (in the form of touchdowns), the better chance the loser will have of climbing back into the race.

Where's Kellen Moore?

Kellen Moore took a giant step forward in his quest to win the Heisman with a win over the Georgia Bulldogs, so how he is only 10th in the Predictor standings?

Right now, the Predictor sees Moore as the quarterback of only a 1-0 team from the Mountain West.

Aside from touchdown totals, the Predictor has no way to differentiate Moore from Air Force's Tim Jefferson or San Diego State's Ryan Lindley at this point in the season.

As a result, Moore will remain in the lower half of the rankings until the BCS standings are released, at which point he'll get a boost from Boise State's projected place in a BCS bowl.

However, don't expect Moore to make a serious run at the top spot unless the Broncos are in position to advance to the championship game.

No current BCS non-automatic-qualifying team has produced a Heisman winner since BYU's Ty Detmer in 1990, and that likely will not change this year unless Moore has Boise State in the hunt for a BCS national championship at the time of the voting.

Dead Duck?

Oregon's loss to the LSU Tigers on Saturday night severely hurt running back LaMichael James' Heisman hopes, but it's too early to count him out of the race.

As said in the preseason Heisman Predictor, James' candidacy is primarily reliant upon his individual statistics.

A 51-yard, one-touchdown performance against LSU certainly puts him at a disadvantage, but a 2,000-yard season is still very much in reach.

Assuming Oregon reaches the Pac-12 championship game, James will have 12 more games before the Heisman voting. To reach 2,000 yards, he'll need to average a little more than 162 yards per game, which is only slightly higher than his average of 152.9 in the 2010 regular season.

So although James' prospects look bleak at the moment, a 2,000-yard performance coupled with a Pac-12 title could be enough to make voters forget about this early-season stumble.

Dark horse emerging on Thursday night?

Arizona Wildcats QB Nick Foles narrowly missed the cut in Week 1, but he'll have an opportunity to state his case on the national stage on Thursday against the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

If Foles -- who threw for more than 400 yards and five touchdowns against Northern Arizona on Saturday -- leads the Wildcats to an upset in Stillwater, he'll quickly ascend the Predictor standings.

With more than 300 yards and/or three touchdowns in a victory against a top-10 team, Foles could earn up to 10 Predictor points in Thursday's game alone.

Foles would still be a long way from the finish line, but an impressive performance against Oklahoma State would make him a legitimate early-season contender."

DO NOT QUESTION THE ALMIGHTY RUSSELL WILSON!!! HE IS GOD!!! DO NOT SAY HE MAKES BAD DECISIONS!!!! HE IS GOD!!!

i haven't "personally attacked" RW, nor will I. But I will say he was being a bit selfish. is that classified as a personal attack?

really? a whore having sex for the millionth time is like a QB starting a football game for the first time? did you REALLY say that ad think it made any sense? really?

Quote :
