i think 3-2 is the safe, realistic prediction, and i could actually see where we'd go 2-3 the rest of the way, with BC being the only, probably sure-win and then splitting with UNC/MD (take your pic). But I can also see us spoiling the shit out of clemson's year. Part of the strength of our D (provided we can get some pressure on the QB) is our secondary. And Clemson's D isn't all that good, its not a national championship D by any means.

so yes, i am saying... I think we have a chance (queue the dumb and dumber meme).

2 games would not get us to the shittiest bowl, yes, because we would not be bowl eligible. 3 games would probably get us to a bowl. Not a good one, but a bowl. The ACC may not be impressive this year but I think we'll have 7 bowl teams. Among them will not be BC (currently 1-6) or UMD (currently 2-5). Duke (3-4) is highly unlikely. Clemson, Wake, VaTech, GaTech will go. That leaves us, FSU, UVA, UNC, and Miami competing for 3 spots. At least one of those teams will likely end up ineligible (UVA if they keep playing like this, for example). And we travel well and would be 7-5 overall, 4-2 in the second half of the season if we do become eligible.


The thing that worries me is this--BC is really bad this year, yes. But I don't think TOB has ever beaten his old team in Chestnut Hill.

^A Good Point. Maybe this is the year that streak breaks. We are still due a WTF loss though--of our three losses, GT is very good (6-2), WF is surprisingly good this year (5-2) and Cincinnati isn't bad either (6-1, though they're not in a great conference). If not BC, the next logical NC State Shit loss would be Maryland, and what a terrible way to end the season that would be.

Though if we have our tradtional W in a game we shouldn't win (FSU, perhaps) it coudl balance out.

I was so wrong and so was vegas. I hope the same thing happens again this week but I still think we have little chance.

We beat virginia because their qb passsed the ball to our guys which seems like a hard thing to do given our system so if we can have a huge victory in the turnover margin then we will probably win. If fsu qb throws away from our guys we probably have no shot.

Well I ignored everything that happened against shitty teams so I was basing my prediction off of the wake, gt and cincy games. We did not have a ton of picks in any of those games and I was grouping virginia in the category with those teams instead of being like a central michigan.

I hope I am dead wrong on this but now I am disregarding the uva game as one of those games and expecting the fsu game to be like the wake, cincy or gt games where we didn't have a ton of picks.

If we have success against FSU, I will be on the bandwagon, even if we lose. When you form your own opinions, you put yourself out there to possibly look like a fool and the UVA game made me look like a fool.
