THE WORST COP ON THE FORCE!

He's such a loose cannon but he's a real good guy at heart. Very misunderstood because he's a little rough around the edges. Did you know he volunteers his free time with underpriveleged children? He doesn't tell anyone and never asks for any recognition.

Either way he's still suspended, with pay. His gun and badge are to be kept locked in the Sarge's desk drawer until further notice. We can't have him going around shooting up the place on his own accord this close to city elections.

i'm with face on this one, it's still a hilarious premise with Sanguinetti.

triply so because it seems like face thought of it without ever having seen the BUHBROVVSKY compilations

So I'm sure you've all seen this, but Troy Brouwer had an interview yesterday or whatever and talked about Semin:

Quote :
"“Some nights you didn’t even know if he was gonna come to the rink,” Brouwer said. “It’s tough to play alongside guys like those because you don’t know what you’re gonna get out of ‘em.”"

Then Tim Brent tweeted today:

Quote :
"Just read Troy Brouwer's comments about Semin. I can say on behalf of his teammates that we love having him here, and he has been a big part of our success so far with his consistent play and work ethic. NOT only his scoring ability. I hope he sticks it to them #canes"

That's always been the knock on Semin, nothing new really.

At least you know what you're gonna get out of Troy Brouwer!

He's a man you can rely on to score almost 0.5 PPG.

Jordan and Nodl down - Dalpe and Gragnani up.

I've thought that Nodl has played exceptionally well lately. I'd rather keep him as a healthy scratch to rotate in/out with Westgarth as needed.

I just wanted to post this to show you guys our baby announcement. My wife's not a huge hockey fan, but she said "I must really love you if this is how we're announcing it..."

Go Canes!

Gotta assume Westgarth in the lineup tonight? Guy is absolutely worthless outside of being known to have the balls to go toe to toe with anyone in the league

I just came across this little blurb from over the weekend

Quote :
"Jeff Skinner (concussion) apparently felt much better Saturday morning.
He participated in the morning skate in a non-contact yellow jersey and felt pretty good. "It was good to get out there with a lot of bodies, move around, lot of pucks going here and there," Skinner said. "I feel good, which is a good sign." There is still no timetable for his return but it looks as if he is making progress in his recovery. Feb 23 - 1:31 PM"

What the hell? How can coach go from putting him on the 4th line to 1st with no major breakout in play? On what team is he even a top 6 guy? And putting our 2nd best scorer on the 3rd with 2 AHLers?

Coaches that have used Chad LaRose on the first line:

Peter Laviolette
Paul Maurice
Kirk Muller

He was a healthy scratch 5 games ago, was not on the 1st line prior to a few shifts last game, and has a whopping 3 points. I know others have put him there, but at least in the past he may have done something inspiring prior to being put there.

Also, Muller should pull a Debbie Yow and give Semin the 'A' instead of Corvo tonight.

"He's been pushing. It's been a frustrating start for him but I thought the last two games he's really elevated his game. He has great chemistry with those two guys. Moving Jiri down, it's not a knock on Jiri. It's more just balancing the lines and giving Rosey a chance. He's stepping it up at a good time."

yuck. beyond my general distaste for larose's game anywhere but on the 3rd/4th line, tlusty has been clicking really well with staal and semin.

also, i had forgotten just how obnoxious caps fans can be until i read this: http://www.russianmachineneverbreaks.com/2013/02/25/carolina-hurricanes-pregame-return-of-sasha-puckbuddys-preview/

yeah, i guess i should have said that i meant the bit on Semin being "alright" and Ovechkin's unquestionable superiority in particular. granted, Ovechkin's numbers do look better this year, but only after that four point game saturday.

I'd love to have another TV with the Caps broadcast on it just to contrast the Semin slurp fest by John and Tripp

not saying it isn't deserved, it's just getting to be a bit much

We have no 1-2 punch that made us so good on the road trip. (EStaal / Semin and JStaal / Skinner)
Our defense is full of AHLers and looks like it.
The we have two fourth lines and no third line.
All the forwards are constantly worried about getting back on D to help our sorry excuse of a blue line.
At best, inconsistent goaltending.

I don't get why the only guy who consistently hits on our team (Wallace) is relegated to the fourth line in a game when we're playing soft as shit with no energy. Or we easily could've tossed Westgarth out there with a good 12-15 minutes left to get our guys out of their daze.

We're an iffy team missing six of our iffy starters that are replacing them with iffy AHLers.

Need to get healthy again.

So since he loves to talk about accountability, surely Muller will express regret at putting LaRose on the top line, right?

But really that was just embarrassing all around. What makes it an even bigger shame was that our highlight was goaltending, yet Holtby was the one with the shutout. There were probably 8-10 minutes max of us playing hockey. The rest was the team sagging in the defensive zone because we knew the second we left our own zone we were just going to lazily turn it over.

Just terrible. How a team can be stale from beginning to end is beyond me.

I really wish we didn't have to send Murphy back.

I'd trade McBain to make room for him now, gladly. Smooth skater with creativity with the puck, or a defenseman who high sticks someone every fucking time he pivots (seriously keep your fucking stick down, dipshit)

Rumor from a USA Today writer is that we're going to trade for a veteran defenseman in the next few days.

Now I hate to harp on this again, but why did we ever let go of Bryan Allen? Even with his new contract in Anaheim, he's still making half a million less than Gleason.
