This is pretty great. Now that I'm in SEC country, excluding UNC, my least favorite teams are USC, UGA, and Clemson (yeah...I know Clemson is in the ACC, but I'm in SC)...their fans are the fucking worst.
This day is setting up lovely (knock on wood). If FSU blows out Clemson, I might just rub one out with my tears of joy...

Commitment this morning from the #2 JUCO WR, Lavon Pearson. CP2?
Quote : | "Measuring 6-foot-3 and weighing around 185 pounds, Pearson is rated a 4-star prospect by 247. Some analysts believe he could end up as the top-rated JUCO receiver in the 2014 class.
Pearson was on campus this weekend with his parents and told Rivals.com last week that he couldn’t wait to take in a game in Neyland Stadium." |

1. We don't know why you brought North Carolina up. What does that have to do with your question?
2. Why did you choose to post your question in this particular thread? It has nothing to do with us being referenced on ESPN.
3. Both of these scenarios are not only ridiculous, but they also completely go against our tradition, and would be impossible to implement. The Volunteers (4-3, 1-2 SEC) visit top-ranked Alabama (7-0, 4-0) on Saturday in their third straight game against a Top 25 team. They follow that up by visiting No. 5 Missouri (7-0, 3-0) and hosting No. 11 Auburn (6-1, 3-1) the next two weeks.
If Missouri and Auburn remain in the Top 25 when they face Tennessee, the Vols would become the first team since 1993 to face seven ranked opponents in an eight-game stretch within the same season." |

The 6-foot-5, 255-pound Hendrix also held offers from the likes of Florida, Ole Miss, Ohio State, USC, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa and Michigan State." |

Quote : | "Vols’ freshman QB Josh Dobbs to reportedly start against Mizzou, gives UT a better chance Jon Cooper @JonSDS
It looks like Tennessee freshman QB Josh Dobbs will get his first career start Saturday against Missouri, one week after Butch Jones removed his redshirt against Alabama. Justin Worley, who started seven games this season, will reportedly be out four weeks with ligament damage to his throwing hand thumb.
Dobbs is majoring in Aeronautical Engineering, and it’s safe to say picking up the playbook probably isn’t too tough. He finished 5 of 12 for 75 yards last week after Worley reinjured his thumb.
Regardless of whether or not Worley is too injured to play, the dual-threat Dobbs gives the Vols the best opportunity to win for the remainder of the season and especially against Missouri. Two spread offenses with mobile QBs in Toledo and South Carolina gave the Tigers arguably their two toughest games, with Shaw giving Mizzou their only loss to date.
The Vols’ offense needs some kind of spark, and although improved, Worley sitting in the pocket hasn’t provided that spark. Dobbs can be that guy, and he looked sharp on several passes and looked plenty mobile enough to make a big play or two in the running game.
If there’s ever a good time to start a freshman, this is it. Tennessee’s bowl hopes will likely come down to Vanderbilt, and that gives Dobbs two games against ranked opponents and a bye week to prepare for the Commodores.
Butch Jones spoke on Dobbs earlier today when Worley’s status was still up in the air, via GoVolsXtra.com.
“He was poised. He was calm. He was disciplined. He had a command about himself. “He’s a 4.0 student. I think he’s got a photographic memory. You’re either a fountain or a drain, you know? Every day he’s a fountain.
“You would never know that he played on Saturday. He is the same Josh Dobbs that we see each day. I take great comfort in being around players like that.”
The question everyone wants to know is what is it about Tennessee QBs and throwing hand injuries?" |

Oh shit...
Quote : | ""Paul Fortenberry ?@Volquest_Paul 5s The Berry brothers have committed to Tennessee. @AustinPriceless will have the full story up shortly. Big get for the Vols."" |
Fuck yeah! While not freakishly good like their older brother (at least not at this point) this is still a big get. Elliot is a 3-star and Evan is a 4-star. Both were offered by Florida, Georgia, Bama, LSU, Ohio State, etc.
Quote : | "I have had the pleasure of covering Eric, Evan, and Elliot through their high school careers and here is a breakdown of each:
ELLIOT BERRY - 5'11/195 - ATH
Elliot has been the bigger of the two growing up and he was always forced to play line as a kid and some think that has hurt his development as a high school player. He never played running back, quarterback, or wide receiver like Eric and Evan did as a kid.
Elliot always played line because he was taller than everyone else at a young age. He has played running back, linebacker, and defensive line at Creekside and a little safety.
He is a downhill player and he is limited in flexibility and he really has no wiggle. He has a nice burst when going north-south and it will be interesting to see how he develops on the next level.
Berry is a solid football player and some feel he is what he is and some think he may be a lot better on the next level once he gets to settle into a position, learn it, and develop.
Overall, he does not have the upside that Evan has. Elliot is a strong football player, but based on watching him over the years, he looks like he'd be best as a linebacker in the box. He could be a safety UT walks down, but he is much better when moving forward than when he has to move side-to-side or backwards.
He is an elite track guy, so you know the speed is there, but he does not transition that speed to the football field right now the way you'd like He is a kid UT could really develop and bring the best out of.
----------
EVAN BERRY - 5-11/193 - Safety
This twin has a chance to be VERY good in the SEC. Berry can cover, he is an elite athlete, he has great ball skills, and he is smart in the secondary.
He has excellent straight-line speed, he is an ideal free safety, and he could cover that tough slot guy if needed. He has good length and he has always been one of the best on each level he's played. I expect that to stay the same.
Berry is playing some wide receiver this season, not quarterback like he did the last three years. He is playing safety as well. He has the higher ceiling, he is the better athlete of the two, but like Elliot, he is a track star as well.
Evan can work on his tackling and man-to-man coverage skills, but he can move backwards, he does have very good range, and he tracks the ball with the best.
----------
Both are outstanding young men and both are good gets/takes for the Vols. Evan gets more praise as a football player and he has more stars, but do not be surprised if Elliot makes a significant impact in Knoxville. " |
