lol at Kobe. Hes really got the Charlotte Sports talk radio guys up in arms.

I can understand their hate though. Not only was it 18 years ago...but it went down nothing like he said it did. To say that the Hornets didn't believe in you when YOU were the one that said you wouldn't play in Charlotte is laughable.

Sorry Kobe, you were just another George Shinn trade the Hornets lost.

Which puts in the company of the likes of Kendall Gill.

Kobe had already said that he wouldn't play for Charlotte. He basically said he wanted to play in a big market like Los Angeles. The Hornets and Lakers made a deal before the draft that we would draft Kobe and trade him to LA for Divac, an All-Star center. Kobe is the one who had no use for Charlotte, not the other way around.

Not only that, but Kobe wouldn't work out for most teams because he only wanted to end up in a big market. Kobe never worked out for Charlotte. The whole this is a farce and if you didn't know the real Kobe already, you should now. Champion basketball player. Loser person.

Charlotte is a mid-size market right? The 2nd financial center in US.

And I know kobe grows up in Italy. His family is not as poor as Jordan and Lebron.

Kobe was only 18 at that time man. He has already been recognized as a future star at that time. I remember I saw his first ad for Adidas and I was shocked.

Not only me but also Hornets are victims for Kobe's trolling. He feels that he's got forgotten for a long time.

yes, he was a future star. but at the time, he couldn't shoot.

the hornets traded the rights to an athletic high school kid who couldn't shoot for a center who helped lead them to the two best years in franchise history.

honestly, kobe was just a bonus for the lakers, as they were trying to get rid of Vlade's contract so they could sign Shaq. TRUE FACTS.

LOL No, he's not a bonus. It's fully PLANNED!
Jerry West put Kobe and Shaq together in summer 1996 and they start to become a rising force.

Quote :
"At the time he became the youngest player ever to play in an NBA game (18 years, 72 days; a record since broken by Jermaine O'Neal and Andrew Bynum), and also became the youngest NBA starter ever (18 years, 158 days)"

maybe al jefferson can seal the deal, although if Utah is gonna match a high offer, I'd hate for them to use up all their free space on just him

Big Al and Ridnour both played for Minnesota

Would you rather be the Timberwolves or the Jazz?

At least both of those teams play in a real conference, not the shit ass Pacers

But I'd love to get Lance

We have about $15 million in cap space, and that's about what Haywood wants. So we couldn't realistically get both.

That being said, Haywood is a restricted FA, and all indications point to Utah matching any offer. So it's highly unlikely Haywood ends up a Hornet.

Now it has come out that Josh Gordon was driving PJ's car when he got his DUI as well as Fats Thomas bailing Gordon out of jail.

This was the fucking worst pick ever. Way to go Hornets...

It was the 24th pick in the draft ... not like we were throwing away a lottery pick.

PJ has top-10 talent and has stayed out of trouble in the D-league. I don't like the guy, but he was worth rolling the dice on that late in the draft, especially considering the Hornets' needs.

That said, screw PJ. I don't think anyone would mind cutting his ass at this point.

What I don't understand is why are former NC State players up in arms about PJ getting in trouble!?! I mean, they keep saying people need to fall back and how they can't believe the kid is pressing charges.

Am I missing something here??

by former NC State players do you mean Julius Hodge?

and probably because they have a better understanding of what goes on behind-the-scenes than any of us?

while it's great that this is a pretty hilarious black eye for UNC, it's absurd to believe he's the only one/they are the only program that could go through this
