We spent 75 million on the fact that Lukaku is 24 years old. Strikers hit their peak around 26-30. Obviously you don't watch United games but Lukaku has been steadily improving this year and again I am not surprised by the fact that you blame Lukaku for not scoring in the other big 6 matches but then you also go around and blame Mourinho for playing defensive. Maybe you should consider what you are criticizing before saying stupid shit next time.

Didn't realize Aguero, Kane, Sterling, and Firmino were on sale last summer. Didn't realize Sterling and Firmino are out and out strikers like Kane and Ageuro. Guess I am being dense that Lukaku has been the most consistent striker in the PL over the last 3 years beside Kane and Aguero. So dense.

I said in the premier league as a striker. Salah was neither. He has been the signing of the season but can't use Salah as a measuring stick for Lukaku IMO.

I still maintain only Kane and Aguero are better premier league strikers that fit into the Lukaku mode. Salah, Firmino, and Sterling are hybrid forwards and while their goal scoring record this year is phenomenal these players are not traditional number 9's that would fit into the system Mourinho wants to play. Think Martial and Sanchez as similar forwards.

I am just saying there has been a lot of noise and much ado about nothing with United. Predictions of our demise are always over the top. Could it be better? Absolutely, it should be better for all teams not named Manchester City though.

The stat in and of itself is very selective I would say but I am using it to highlight that the narrative is largely BS and United have improved massively when compared to the last 4 years. I would say for the first time in a while we actually look like we have a decent squad that can and should get better as the core is still young.

In other news. Winter break 2 weeks before the first knockout matches in the CL. Thoughts? Good idea but I think the break should have been in January instead of Feb. I also hope teams don't use this as an opportunity to just go tour Asia and sell more BS tickets. Players should get a week off with a week in warm weather training but there is something to be said for match sharpness if the first match back will be a CL knockout fixture.

Yea I don't understand the start we had. The second goal was never a foul during the build up but Palace stuck with it and took advantage.

United players in the first half looked like 11 people who had never played together their whole lives. That is on the manager for sure but Pogba and Smalling were passengers in the first half. Its like we need to be pressured into playing the way we did from the 50th minute onwards.

Sets up the derby nicely and I am glad its at home. I expect Mourinho to come out defensive obviously but I hope its with Bailly starting and not Smalling. A 1-0 would do nicely but a 0-0 doesn't help either. I predict Klopp will be a bit cautious as well but if its 0-0 United will get a large share of the blame despite the pragmatism from the opposing end as well.

Same palace team spurs struggled to beat too. Seem to recall it was a late winner there as well.

It’s actually quiet hilarious that you only equate defensive football to boring, as if a match can’t be exciting when an opposition team is nullified in playing their game the way true Mourinho defenses have done in the past. Yes I would quiet enjoy my team winning against a bitter rival regardless of how it’s done.
