Check out the time lapse I shot at the game yesterday.

http://news14.com/content/top_stories/614218/carter-finley-stadium-time-lapse/

I need to go back and tweak exposure on a few frames. The wind also moved the camera tiny amount which is why it seems a bit jumpy at points.

I think I had it set to take a photo every 15 seconds.

A few of my recent finds.

Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnakes

(I know, would have been nice if the snake was in focus)

This male is the biggest I've found to date, measured at 5.25 ft, although that was measured by myself, which means he was probably a little bigger than that.

And a Canebrake Rattlesnake

Just caught another canebrake crossing the road as I came back from work.

It was so big, it crossed the entire dirt road I was driving down, and then some! It was probably something like 12 ft long and 100 lbs or something.

It was so big that it nearly clubbed me to death with its rattle!

I begged for mercy, and fortunately the snake just ate my neighbors, so it left me alone after that.

It stared me down as I walked back to my car and sped away...

Nah, but it was probably the most beautiful canebrake I've caught, and I've caught quite a few. I was happy the photos came out as nicely as they did, because as I packed my camera back up, I realized it had sprayed my UV filter with musk.

<3 rattlesnakes.

^ out of curiosity, how the hell do you measure these things? Are you all like " Hey, would you mind stretching out while I grab my tape measure?"

clear plastic tubes, man.

edit: here was my failed attempt at a picture of myself holding the 5.25' snake in a tube next to myself. didn't realize as i messed with the camera with 1 hand, the lens extended and zoomed in. i didn't check to see how the shot came out till i got home and had already released the snake. DOH!

but maybe it gives you an idea of the tubing thing for measurement and other data stuff. also gives you a hint of the length of the snake in relation to me (or part of me...and im 6').

hard to do things right when it always seems to depend on the angle of my laptop screen.

and i'm not too good with photoshop...and auto-level always fucks my pictures up.

two 3200ws power backs with two heads over a large scrim in a three-sided syc wall called "the cove".

Addy pic, why not?

And poked fun of myself with this self portrait I did for a class project two weeks ago. Had to make a blog header. It's really really cheesy.

Also, if anyone is interested, I'm selling my 30D with grip for real this time. Picked up another 1DmkII body last week so time to finally get rid of the 30D. Asking 450

d7freestyler, You can rearrange the photos. If they are in a set, just click on edit, then batch operations. You can drag and drop to rearrange them. Then click save.

If you want to organize your whole photosteam, I think you can click on organize, then whole collection to do the same thing. I believe there is an option to sort them by date taken.

That Leica M9 is da sexy, but I donno about 5500 Euro's for that body. It's a nice feature to have such a compact body with a FF chip, but the really only use I see for this is pro level travel photography. If I was going to spend some money on Leica, I'd get their new medium format DSLR system. That's uber sexy.

Anyone want to give their input on reasons to go for a Cannon XSI over a Nikon D3000/5000 or any entry level Nikon SLR for that matter? Looks to me like the Cannon might be a better camera for the price if you look at features but the Nikon lenses look to be better and people seem to like nikon image quality over cannon. I don't need video but I do like the idea of transitioning with a live view LCD but thats not really that important.

Thanks in advance for anyone's input. Feel free to flame away @ the n00b.
