Pardoning him was beyond lame. "Whoops! Sorry old pal! You committed crimes against the very basic ideas of democracy in this country, but it's totally cool now!" Ford had some integrity before that, but afterward? Apparently in America you can break the law and get away with it if you're in with the new President. Instead of having the moral fiber to follow up on what crimes Nixon may have committed, he lets it all go? That's just shady, based on the severity of Nixon's actions.

The American public was livid, and I don't blame them. They thought they were getting rid of a nasty traitor, just to find a guy who'd say "oh, nevermind- he's fine in my book" afterward.
