im just saying, im watching this youtube and this guy is already HUGE (I'd say at least 6'10, probably 6'11) and he looks like he has the skills of a 3/4 more than just a straight 5 like most tall Africans or even that of a 4/5. As ridiculous as those comparisons are right now, there's probably a realistic (small, but realistic) chance that he ends up in those guys class. There's also a chance his development goes backwards, he runs into visa issues, etc but I don't think this is a bad risk. It's not really worth stressing over too much since he's 2012 though...kid could pull three CJ Leslie's on us before he even gets to campus

I do hope he's the next Greg Oden though. It appears that things are setting up pretty good for us that we won't have to rely on Lowe's coaching skills to get the wins, which is fine and dandy by me, as long as we get the wins.

Leslie, Harrow, Ryan Kelly, Wall, at least....just the 5 star players he's been on early. I don't know if you can add cousins and favors b/c I think we found out about them after they were already highly ranked...although who knows when we started recruiting them. Now, we've only gotten one of them to raleigh, but I like our chances with CJ, and I think it shows good judgement by Lowe on the players he's offered early.

Then you have Wood, CJ Williams, Brown, etc who he's landed but not 5star.


I have to be honest with you, with every one of those 5 star recruits I went WTF when we offered, even hoped that Kelly wouldn't commit b/c we needed the scholarship and I didn't want to "waste" it at one point. Now every damn one of them has blown up.

and yeah, i know he's struck out on more than his fair share. but my argument was that he can spot the talent, not get the talent. so i'm not arguing that he's a great recruiter...
