did you get married young? if so, many people probably chalked it up to immaturity. if you got married young and your friends attended and brought gifts, i'd be especially ashamed. people who are still in school or just out, spending money on a wedding gift without acknowledgement...

seriously, just because you forgot you went to your best friends wedding (and took a gift for that matter?? wtf is that) doesn't mean other people are the same. in fact, you're the minority

at this point, you could go the lazy route and have walgreens or target print up "thank you" pictures of you and your husband from your wedding day and just toss them in envelopes. i find those even more insulting than not recieving a thank you at all but you don't seem too concerned with social graces.

i send thank you notes for things like birthday gifts and favors where people went out of their way for me, but that is how i was raised and cannot imagine letting a thoughtful gesture go by without notice.

I don't think I'd care one way or the other if I wasn't sent a thank-you note. All things equal, I'd prefer to be thanked to my face, but even then I don't really require that thanks be given. I can understand how someone might feel a little miffed for not getting a thank-you, but I think it would be even more petty of a person to brush a person off for something as small as that.

I'm ready to be done with school and get a job, but at the same time I'm worried that I won't be able to cut it. In all likelihood, I'll find some kind of salaried position where I'll have to put in 50-60 hours a week, but I think the most I've ever worked is 40. I know how to get my work done, but I don't know that I've ever been that industrious. I just don't know if I have what it takes to cut it in the "real" world. I've been a student in some form or another for 25.5 years; what if being a student is all I know how to be? What if all I know how to do is learn, not how to actually accomplish?

somehow and i'm still not 100% sure how, i hit a mailbox with my car mirror? and like 4 people saw me but i kept driving. but then when i got home i felt guilty so i went back and inspected the mailbox and i didn't see any damage but i left a note a $20 in it.

but it appears my car mirror took the brunt of the impact

i mean i'm still not sure if this is what happened but i heard a loud noise and my mirror was broken so i can only assume i hit a mailbox. but i didn't go like off road

anyway, i felt better after writing a letter and giving them $20 (with my address and phone # of course in case they want to return it )

well it was just so confusing because like i would assume since my mirror is all bent and stuff that the mailbox would at least have a dent or like paint from my car or a scratch, but it didn't. i inspected it. and it didn't seem loose or anything.
