I would also assume that all the items are tied together by who the car is registered to, so it might not just be that they drove 8 different cars but that 8 different cars were at one point registered to one entity. This might also be why some of these items weren't paid off since any notifications or payment requests went to who the car was registered to and not the driver.

repost for page 148:

Quote :
"Been doing a little looking around their ticketing system and when you type 7 of those plates in, it responds with "The following violation(s) were found for the information you entered as well as any other license plates on your record." YWS5599, RTV6111, TYE5390, XZW9689, H2411192, WXB5184, and YYH6920 all have tickets under their plate in the car with LP 16911471 which is the 2006 Dodge Charger (VIN# 2B3KA43G56H241192)

What could this mean?

Pretty easy to understand here. Type in any of those license plate numbers. Every one of them comes up with the same offenses. (See the Land Rovers' LPs for an example of this)

This means that 8 different vehicles were registered to ONE specific account/user/parking violator.

Observe this verbiage:

Quote :
"The following violation(s) were found for the information you entered as well as any other license plates on your record. Select the citations you would like to pay and click "Next""

This translates to:

You entered stuff for car A, but here's all the stuff on Car A, B, C, D, E, F, and G registered to you as well.

I regularly roll in 8 different cars I mean who doesnt?

I sure hope we find they were all registered to none other than BMFD!

^4 No I understand what the database is doing. I'm just saying that XZW9689 is not tied directly to RTV6111, but they are both tied to the Charger.

So I would think there are 8 individuals here that all drove the Charger at one point in time... no?

i mean i got like 3 or 4 tickets at State, but how did all of these football players rack up these tickets? it tells me that:

A)they're fucking morons who don't learn their lesson
B)they parked wherever they wanted because they knew any ticket would be taken care of
C) both A and B

What I still don't understand is how UNC is attributing tickets to players when they are driving someone else's car. Someone on twitter, ErinSummers I think, reported that one of the Dodges was registered to Greg Little's dad, I know when I got a ticket at UNC in a car registered to my dad they sent the bill to him. Someone explain this to me.

^ Well in theory you can't enroll for classes if you have unpaid fines. So then how did these guys stay academically eligible if they weren't paying their fines and therefore enrolling in classes?

so far the summary is..

they released a spreadsheet style summary, not the tickets themselves.

11 or less players accumulated 400 tickets over a year period or so.

some are STILL unpaid.

players with unpaid tickets we assume still are enrolled which is against university policy and therefore preferential treatment to players.

numerous cars have been given tickets with the same license plate #

they havent released the phone records, just total minutes

UNC is in deep doo doo

Wow. One UNC player accrued 93 parking tickets under 9 license plate numbers between Oct 07 & Aug 09.

http://www.dailytarheel.com/index.php/article/2011/06/database_unc_football_player_got_93_parking_tickets

So, is it possible that not all 11 players got tickets? So maybe only 5 or 6 players got all of the tickets?

^^Please shop MA's face on that gif.

So when they create the ticket and run the tags, shouldn't it be registered for the corresponding car?

If those guys were taking their license tags off car A (which it was registerred to) and putting them on cars B, C, and D, I think that would be a legal issue. Also, if the parking meter maid when issuing a citation types in the tag number and "2009 dodge charger" yet the car the tag is on is a Nissan, uh, that's kind of a hint hint to turn that over to your superior(s) for legal purposes.

it would be impossible to get away with that in a normal town, most police at idol stoplights just enter in tag numbers in front of them to see if the car they are looking at is the same as the car that pops up on their computers. How a lot of shady stuff gets solved.

edit- ah, dealer tags, that's another aspect I hadn't thought about....butt hat's going to open another can of worms when multiple players have cars from the same dealership as loaners.
