^^The end of the 'third summers brother' dangling plot was recently ended in a mini-series...in perhaps the worst (in every sense imaginable) resolution of a dangling plot imaginable. Not to mention they killed off Banshee for this POS. I would rather it had been Gambit as crap as that would have been.

I really should appologize for that...as the other person trying to keep the Firefly thread alive you obviously have mostly good taste.

What do you make of this, Hugh Jackman reiterating that this will be the last X-men film. I'm pretty sure I read an interview with Kelsey Grammar (sp?) that he signed on to do another one. Did he just mean he won't be in another one (which would suck) or is he just blowing smoke?

you folks do realize that the x franchise has and can exist without wolverine right

i'd rather have 3 more X movies sans logan than not have any more

Yeah I do, its a big universe with a lot of interesting characters, I'd be fine with that. But the quote said:

Quote :
"He reiterated that this is absolutely the last X-Men film. I'd imagine he did not count Wolverine and Magneto spinoffs in this, but he didn't mention them either."

So I was just wondering what was meant by this... hoping that he meant he was out but the movies would continue.

You cant have an xmen movie without wolverine.

You loose a large part of the draw to the movie and its FREAKING WOLVERINE!

They would make more money with an wolverine spin off I would think.

And then maybe after the sucess of the film they might do another x-men movie to rake in the last amount of money avaliable out there.

Pretty much so far, all the comic book characters are > Movie characters, but damn if the movies aren't still great.

So Rogue going to zap that lady for some powers anytime soon? I wanna see her fly and throw cars like it ain't shit.

That be a good way to put it in, and at least touch on that aspect of her character (which is a pretty big aspect)

Will have to change. The girl playing young rogue was interesting and fit in a unusual sense...but if and when she gets those powers, she has too change...a lil more dominating, less shit taking...I just wanna see persons face when she picks up a hummer one handed and smashes em wit it...

Then she can fall in love with Teh Cajun...(ok thats a stretch, but dammit I want Gambit in an Xman movie)

I wouldn't mind seeing The Cajun in an X-Men movie. Question is, who would play him? I don't think with Anna Paquin playing Rogue, there would be anyone good enough to play him. There were rumors once that JC Chavez was looking to play the Cajun but I'd hate to picture an ex-Nysncer as the Cajun. I want to see a rough looking but still charming guy play Gambit.

Anyways, the only thing I'm looking forward to in this movie is the Dark Phoenix. From what I've seen of spoilers and leaked footage, Famke does the part justice. Still, I can understand why they chose to have the Phoenix part as an evolved form of Jean rather than a separate entity. People don't read the comics and it would be entirely confusing to bring in the Shi'ar and the other plot points of the Phoenix Saga and the Dark Phoenix Saga.

As long as I see the Phoenix Raptor I'm happy.

I think that guy from Ocean's 12 (the guy who played Nightfox or whatever his name was. He was also the bad guy in Derailed) might be able to pull off a good Gambit if he bulked up a little.

vincent cassel is a perfect choice, aside from being 40

the only reason you think he needs to bulk up is because of shits like rob liefeld who couldn't draw a fierce normal sized man if they wanted

cyclops had no reason to look like ronnie coleman, and yet there were times in teh mid 90s that he looked like he could bench 385 12 times

and if he doesn't play gambit
he should play the joker based on this pic:

In my dream cast from a million years ago he was Havok, in my dream cast for live action GI Joe he'd be duke.

Page one said Josh Holloway would be a good Gambit...I can see that or Vincent Cassel.
