I can't imagine having gone anywhere but MV with a beer in hand (9:45) to see this movie. I didn't really consider it at first but I am really glad I didn't end up a xroads or somewhere equally as lame. I do have to admit that I got a bit nervous when the guys behind us swapped pants.
All in all it was more than I could have ever expected. I was going to be entertained no matter what but my expectations were surpassed by quite a bit. The crowd and atmosphere definitely made it. 8/19/2006 3:23:41 PM |

Yeah, the crowd at the 9:45 (and presumably all others the past couple of days) was a big part of the whole experience. Still and all, I would have laughed my ass off at that movie even if I was sitting by myself.

About 10 of us went to MV last night for the 9:45. It was the best experience ever.
I was afraid someone would get pissed off that I kept screaming shit the whole time, but whatever. We all had fun and that's all that matters.
Going to Ruckus beforehand definitely made the experience better.

i went tonight with some friends to the grande and i regret it. they wouldnt even let us take rubber snakes in. my friend had to smuggle em in. and when he threw one, it landed on some tuffie's lap down front who turned around, stared in our direction and asked who threw the effing snake. i mean come on, it's snakes on a plane. what'd he expect. so i'm wondering if there would be a crowd tomorrow night at mission valley if we went.8/20/2006 2:12:59 AM |

weird.
dude, this is one of my favorite movies of the summer...and we had a blast yelling shit and enjoying it with a crowd, but i dont think i'd be too happy about someone actually throwing shit around. 8/20/2006 2:58:36 AM |

we should set up a time where we can go watch a movie together... i will sit two rows behind you and throw rubbers snakes at you during the entire movie.
it won't get old
^^to be honest, I might of just laughed it off too if it were to happen to me, my point is that I wouldn't be surprised that it might piss someone off...and I don't think I would of done it to a stranger.

The 9:45 at MV was definitely entertaining last night. I agree with whoever said they didn't even try to play it off as serious. I liked the 2nd half better though cuz the first half had a little too much ridiculous worst-case-scenario gore for me. But like a friend of mine said, "It's snakes...on a plane...there's not much else you can do with that."
P.S. Gone in 60 seconds is on tbs now and a guy was just attacked by a snake. lol 8/20/2006 12:27:15 PM |

perfect sequel title would be
Snakes on a Plane: The Reckoning
of course the third and final movie of the franchise would have to be Snakes on a Plane III: Snakes in Space 8/21/2006 2:09:07 AM |

i think this movie will go the way of Super Troopers and other "cult classics" and kick ass on DVD either way.
also, I honestly wouldn't be too surprised if there actually is going to be a sequel.
did anyone catch that sam l's flight attendant chick (that is retiring) is becoming a lawyer. what if she becomes a prosecutor and goes after bad asian guy...and she needs some rescuing.
