Isn't it a 10/10 split? Eye of Jupiter is #11. I'm confused.

It was originally suppose to be a 10/10 split, however Exodus was only suppose to be a standalone episode instead of a two parter. They were massively over budget and said "hey lets go ahead and get a second episode out of this for the price of one" 12/1/2006 9:11:55 PM |

Excellent episode. I'm right back to hating Starbuck once again. It really sucks that she went to so much trouble to rescue Anders, and now she's just completely thrown him away. I also never thought I'd feel sorry for Dualla, but I surely do now. Wonder what's going to happen with her? 12/1/2006 10:30:27 PM |

Adama's speach freaking got to me.
And next episode they actually acknowledge the food logistics!1

No shit. I've basically been waiting for the quintessential Lee/Kara episode since the miniseries and goddamn it, I got it.
Fuck Dualla, she ran off on Billy and look what happened.
And I don't think Starbuck is reduced to a caricature at all- she's so mild and sweet when alone with Lee initially. Lee is like a big puppy, and he's just so fucking in love with her... Then Kara goes and messes it all up.
Best episode yet.

I don't think starbuck was that badass in this one. She got tired before Lee did, and if all the blood hadn't left his head for southernly destinations he could have put her on the mat.
I fucking loved this episode. The transition at the end where it went from all out brawl to the embrace was just beautiful. 12/2/2006 6:01:01 PM |

This season will win an emmy. It really has to. I have never been this impressed with a season in any series, HBO or not. I loved Rome, but damn if I am more intrigued by BSG now. 12/2/2006 7:09:56 PM |

^^^ You kidding me?
She WRECKED that first guy's shit. She would've dug in Lee's ass, too, if she didn't get all distracted by the whole "I love him" shit.
This is going to be the episode I make people watch when they doubt my "best show on TV" claims.

You know it's funny, this is one of the most soap operatic BSG episodes yet and it's also considered one of the best by its male fanbase. You guys are all softies, aren't you? You can admit it. 12/2/2006 8:05:42 PM |

Lee had the same shit going through his head, and they both did quite a number on each other in the beginning. The sweep kick and stuff like that comes to mind, but Lee outlasted her. She was just outta gas and he could have kept pouring it on.

Well, I think it's the best because I know exactly where Lee is coming from. Girls do foul shit like that to guys all the time. This ep was almost an exact parallel to one of my personal relationships (except for the beating the shit out of each other part).
Also I identify with him because I want to bang the shit out of Starbuck.12/2/2006 9:30:36 PM |

It's a two-way street.
But boxing it out isn't a common way to solve issues like this, and that was cool.

I have a friend who graduated from state as a film major. he never liked the show even when I would rave to him about it.
Now I feel the need to force him to sit throught the first 2 seasons and then get him to watch this season and see what he thinks. 12/2/2006 11:02:16 PM |

Well when you're on a network that produces Boa Vs. Python and Scorpions on a Train! and you're also named after a show which was really really campy and lousy...its kinda hard to make a good name for yourself.
However, they (sci fi) are getting better, The Lost Room looks promising 12/3/2006 6:55:02 PM |
Captain Rich All American 652 Posts user info edit post |
^^oh yeah BSG is certainly top of the line when it comes to the SciFi channel. But i was actually refering to SciFi as genre. People expect little out of the genre and its good to see how it can be just as quality as any other genre.

I like when Adama got up there and did his thing. And what's the deal with him and Roslin? It's like they have a forbidden love thing going on.
And I don't get why Anders and the black chick aren't more pissed about Starbuck's and Lee's residual emotions. It seems obvious something's up, but they just sit back with each other and watch. I don't know if i'm missing something, but that's kind of lame to me. 12/3/2006 9:53:11 PM |
