Crowd was pretty damn loud from where I was, which was 2nd row courtside. Yeah it seemed like there was some bad calls but its always gonna seem like that at a home game because the majority of calls against us get boooos.

As for Charlie there, he's never gonna be happy until he's suckin Herb's dick again, I think Sid is doing a damn good job given the situation he's stepped into.

At least our team held up our part of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge, that's more than we could say last year.

The stands were sparse at the end of the game....not just the beginning. It wasn't people "arriving late" that made it seem louder at the end (although there were a few)...it was the students being loud as hell.

And don't give me that..."It isn't an ACC game" shit. Our fans are suppose to be excited as hell that Lowe is our coach and we get too see "exciting new basketball" and our support our old NCAA Championship guard lead our team back to prominence.

The attendance for this game was a joke.

The solution is easy for you Charlie.

1. Purchase 1 way ticket to Arizona or Chapel Hill

2. Talk to advisor about emergency transfer

3. Select appropriate school

4. Travel to one of these locations

5. Be the best fan you can be

heh, there was a carowhina fan sitting with some michigan fans in sect 108 or 109 and he started talking shit. Pointing to his tarhole shirt saying "yeah, national champs". Then a state guy was like "I bet you got that from wal-mart".

impressed with tonight.

thats a very good michigan team with depth and some seniors. nice to see an NC state team just want it that much more then the other team, on paper we probably should have lost that game by 10 points, especially once atsur went down. win or lose, atleast they are fun to watch.

i wasn't addressing loudness

people were wondering why the RBC center looked empty at the beginning of the game

the answer was: it's not an ACC game + people arrived late due to traffic

and the sign said "out with the chest, in with the chin"

preview from espn insider:

Quote :
"Michigan at NC State (ESPN2, 7 ET)
Two teams that have played no one play someone, sort of. Michigan needs to get to the NCAA Tournament this season, but a win in Raleigh is just the beginning. The Wolfpack have two potential losses coming with an ACC opener at Virginia and then a nonconference tilt at West Virginia. If only Sidney Lowe and Tommy Amaker were playing, not coaching. Hey, your choice -- seeing whether Brett Favre will play on ESPN or hoops on the Deuce. Take the Wolverines. "

I think the crowd did a great job. From the 18:00 mark to the 16:00, it was tough to get the place loud cause we were getting whooped and atsur went out. Once we started on a streak the crowd really got into the game and I believe forced a lot of turnovers/bad decisions from Michigan. The crowd also struggled from the 15:00 mark to the 9:00 in the second half b/c we were basically conserving energy and draining the clock. When it got close again we switched to the fast paced offense but got shafted by the refs on multiple calls, which is why we didn't keep the bigger lead margin.

Overall I would give the crowd a B+ for really tormenting Michigan and getting in their heads which translated to many terrible shots. (I believe there were at least 4 airballs)

If you wanna talk trash then I suggest you actually show up next time.

Yeah they addressed the possibility of Cowher coaching here at State on PTI tonight, everybody in the Wolves Den got quiet and started paying attention.

But back to the subject, if we keep improving like we have, and continue to adapt and change our play style to each different team, there is NO WAY we will be last in the ACC this season.

Why on earth are people complaining? We just dominated a ranked(?) team with 6 players and no pg. NCSTATE was picked 12th in the ACC. Anything more is glorious. You guys should be jumping in joviality right now.

A lot of us are pretty happy about it, that arena was roaring at the buzzer. It's mainly Charlie trying to rain on the parade. Yes we made mistakes, yes we could have done things better, but we also beat a team that we were not predicted to and recovered an early 12 point defecit AFTER LOSING ATSUR ftw.

Costner is going to be a really good player also. He just has to play within himself. I really hope our fans dont get down on him after some of the stuff that was said after the pre-season games. Lets let the kids play. Nobody on that team has even come close to single handedly losing a game for us...and even that wouldnt warrent our fans booing our own players.

Costner's offense definitely needs work but he plays a crucial role on defense, grabbing the majority of our rebounds.

No, I think they based it on us losing Bennerman, Bethel, Evtimov, Ced and Brackman not to mention our Head Coach and two top-100 incoming recruits

on the other hand, there were defensive plays where costner NEVER moved and just stuck his hands out trying to knock balls away...he didn't just magically end up with the nickname "big lazy"...if he could get a little more agressive...he could be great.

^^true I was talking about his rebounding. Whenever Costner gets too aggressive it just ends with stupid fouls like the and1 he gave a guy late in the game. He didn't even block at the ball, just grabbed the guy's other arm.

That picture is from a play where the ball hit the backboard and they blocked it after it touched and never called goaltending.

Terrible...unless my eyes deceived me
