some friends have me looking.... anyone have a 270 or 7mm MAG. looking for both. the price is the biggest issue, they don't want to put a lot into it. 12/8/2007 2:38:12 PM |

^^ if price is the issue and you don't intend to use it on anything big out west (like elk, moose, brown bear, etc), you could widen your search to include:
.308 7mm-08 (necked down .308) .30-06 .280 (.30-06 necked down to 7mm)
if you just want to shoot deer, then these are also good rounds: .243 (6mm, believe it's based on .308 case) .25-06 (based on .30-06 case)
also, 7mm STW, .300 WIN, .300 ultra mag, comparable Weatherby/wildcat/etc rounds are all good, but not likely to be found as cheap. 12/8/2007 7:25:44 PM |

^ yeah, i've got a couple of 223's, a 270, 300 win mag, had a 308. they just have it stuck in their head what they want and i told them i'd keep my ears open. 12/8/2007 7:35:19 PM |

Savage rifles are a hell of a value, even more so now with the accutrigger. I like ones I have messed with. with an apples to apples comparison, they will match the remingtons and what winchester used to produce at a much better price.

I might be looking to get rid of my Glock 21SF. It's the slimmed down full size .45 cal. It has the new ambi-mag release and picatinny rail which really adds something to it. The gun has probably had 4 boxes max shot through it. It shot extremely well and is a good size for those wanting a double stack .45 without the huge grip. The only reason I'm looking to sell it is I want a new shotgun and might need this to cut that cost down. 12/11/2007 6:26:29 PM |

i am looking for a .22lr pistol while I try to hold off buying an HK P30 for as long as I can... Does anyone have a 22 they are looking to sell? If I buy one new I have pretty much narrowed it down to a Ruger MKIII, Sig Mosquito, or Walther P22. Can anyone comment on their experience with any of these? 12/16/2007 11:20:44 PM |

I wasn't impressed with the walther 22. it was to small and not accurate at least with the ammo I was shooting that day. I borrowed a friend of mines. A MKII or MKIII is one of my favorite 22's along with the S&W model 41. 12/17/2007 5:30:25 PM |

if he backs out i might can do it. the sling and hardware would cost you at least $30 and that's installing it yourself like i did. i'm sure the variable power bushnell scope i'm including with it is better than the one that comes on the 597 for sale at Dick's. it's a nice gun that hasn't been shot that much. 12/22/2007 3:50:15 PM |

Free Ammo
9x19mm, .40S&W, .45ACP, .223Rem, 7.61x51mm, 7.62x39mm, .22LR, more
The catch? You come pick it up (N. Raleigh) and you take it all. I don't have time to dick around with one person who wants the 45 and someone else wants the 9, etc.
