Can we assume Cavil and Daniel haven't meet on screen yet? Cavil would probably be surprised in meeting the last remaining Daniel copy and I can't think of any odd behavior he has given any of the "non-cylan" humans.

^where was it stated there was a remaining daniel copy? are you going with the starbuch theory? I think it's more likely that starbuck is related to the ship of lights

Yeah I was surprised, unless his reasoning was that they could take Boomer and leave. He knows if they stay Boomer won't last long (next episode).

I didn't like Ellen's character this episode. When she first came back she seemed brilliant and very aware of everything going on. This episode she was back to her old self, playing a fool. UNLESS it turns out she poisoned the baby somehow. I think it would be great for her character if she had killed the baby to get Tigh back.

i think the chief wants to leave because he has nothing holding him there. once he was pointed out as one of the fifth, no one trusts him plus his babies is not his.

i think thats why hes like "fuck it, lets get out of here"

what happened to head six/baltar? - "More guns, bigger guns!"
also, what has boxey done while we weren't paying attention? - I bet he's taken over the black market after zarek died. also, he might be working to spring his foster mom from the brig."

Yep. No other way.

Also - Anders was "projecting" Daniel to Starbuck - notice his eyes were open and brain activity was crazy during the piano player sequences, but closed at the end.

It's established that the 8 models + the final 5 lived with the humans before the second Cylon war started - Saul, Ellen, Anders, Caprica 6, Boomer, et al... so it only makes sense that Starbuck's dad "disappearing" was in reality his line being boxed.

+1 ... really good catch.

i also enjoyed the episode. at first i thought it got off a little slow but really picked up. i was surprised at how it ended.

Boomer jumping through the ship was pretty bad ass

So I figure Daniel / Starbuck's Dad will show up near the end eh?

God I hope this ends on a positive note - it's gotten SO depressing. I mean, in a good way - they're writing it to be depressing, and it's working, but damn. Need something good to happen.

I have a theory that Starbuck was resurrected by the same station that resurrected the final 5 when she died back on earth.... but I don't have it really fleshed out that well.

That means that she's either fully cylon, or a half cylon like Hera.

^That's what I was thinking as well. From the resurrection technology that we have seen so far, it appears they keep copies of empty bodies to resurrect into... unless this station was different...

but then where did the brand new viper come from?

Did Boomer jump away or did she suicide herself and Hera into the side of the ship?

i think you have to assume she jumped away - the only justification for her to just kill herself that helps the storyline is that it ruins the ship even more

features like that could be part of her "memory" that is transferred, if she really is cylonesque.

Boomer totally got away, although her ship's damaged. It would be anticlimactic to kill Hera like that, not telling us if she actually died until the next episode. I'm gonna guess that Boomer's also preggo with another Helo babby.

I don't think Slick (what Bear McCreary's blog calls the piano player in Starbuck's head) is Daniel. I think the Daniel thing is spent. Gone. They really didn't leave any holes for him to still be alive. Anders could still have projected Slick into Starbuck's head, assuming Anders knows how to project... which he doesn't, but clever writing can take care of that hole.

Here's a pretty weird picture of Saul smiling:

^ Oh oops, I guess I did call that guy Daniel, didn't I. I think Starbuck would've recognized her dad

The rest of my theory still applies, though. He was an Anders projection. Otherwise they wouldn't have made such a big deal about the Boomer -> Galen projection thing.

I mean, there's never been another instance of projection anywhere else in the show to this point, so obviously this new thing has to have multiple entry points to be legitimized this late in the series.

^ Plus all the times Baltar and Head Six went off to frak in his head on Caprica. Plenty of instances of projection.

Anders didnt know how to project, but then he remembered all sorts of information about where they came from after getting a bullet in the head. Very possible he remembered how to project.

lol that cracked me up.

I started season 1 about 2 weeks ago and I am finally caught up! I was really surprised that I enjoyed this show that much to be honest. I'm a diehard Stargate fan and I was hesitant to watch this show because there's only so much room in my heart for scifi love.

anyway, I can't wait for the next few episodes. it's hard for me to not being able to watch the next show immediately after hardcore binge watching.

^ i felt the same way for some reason I crammed and caught up in about 3 weeks right before the latest webisodes, so i'm used to watching like 6 eps in a row then more the next day now I have to wait. My ps3 is filling the scifi binge-ing void for now.

Haha yeah I was in the same boat as you guys. I started watching right when the show got to its break this season and watched from the miniseries to then to get caught up. Unfortunately chitchat had spoiled "ELLEN IS A CYLON" a couple weeks before hand and it was stuck in my head when her character first got introduced. It was a major bummer, till I finally saw how it panned out.
