eBay lets you manually type in a face value. So if he puts $2,000, and lives in NC, it'll say $2,003. Magic.5/22/2007 8:51:03 AM |

Has anyone written eBay customer service to get those auctions pulled?
If you have an eBay account please help report the auctions so they get pulled. Too many people are going to miss the shows because of ticket brokering.

yeah some dates sold out in less than a minute, I'd say. I got to the ticket screen as soon as humanly possible for the 30th and it was sold out by the time I entered the verification word 5/22/2007 10:14:19 AM |

some friends and i played it safe and made our first choice the 26th. we didn't want to run into any problems and it worked out better for me to drive over that night.
the last time i was at the orange peel was a little over a year ago. we were in asheville and ghostface happened to be playing that night. we figured why not. while i was watching the show some guys get into a fight and someone ended up getting stabbed. the best part was the music never stopped and all the people up on stage just watched along with everyone else without missing a beat.
i'm thinking that wont happen with the pumpkins...but you never know 5/22/2007 10:52:54 AM |

Im moving from Raleigh to Greenville in like 2 weeks, thus I will be there during the time of the show. I have a friend who got *1* ticket who will be in town from Texas staying at my place. I was saying its going to suck driving him to see the show on the 23rd when I can't go in with him and probably end up waiting around for the show to be over up there. I didn't mean the actual drive itself heh. 5/22/2007 2:07:16 PM |

the last Smashing Pumpkins show i saw was years ago at the Dean Smith Center and it was one of the worst concerts i have ever seen
Garbage opened up and they had a much better set. I dont know if every SP show is just 2 hours of Billy Corgan just screaming to the point where you cant make out the lyrics ... just the song if so, then missing this show will not be bad at all 5/22/2007 2:29:25 PM |

Quote : | "NOTE ON SMASHING PUMPKINS We have emailed and talked to hundreds of Peel regulars - some ecstatic to be seeing the Smashing Pumpkins at 'their' club and others totally depressed about being shut out of these shows. A lot of folks have been angry that more was not done to get tickets to locals. We did ask for a set-aside for our box office to give the people who keep the Peel afloat a better chance, but the Smashing Pumpkins management felt very strongly that the fairest system for all their fans was to sell all tickets online. The reality is that we're a small club in a small town in Western North Carolina - not exactly a tour manager's top choice. The reality is also that we have a great club, a great city and phenomenal fans. We want to do such an awesome job with these shows that other top acts will make Asheville the first stop they schedule!" |

^ I much prefer "pretty" Smashing Pumpkins to "thrashy" Smashing Pumpkins... that's why I'm not more excited about the new album. If the above song is any indication, I have a feeling it's going to be much more of the latter.
