Only the top three picks are determined by the lottery, then the rest are slotted by record.

The Bobcats do the opposite of tanking every year...they play like they don't give a shit for the first 2/3 of the season, then when they're already out of playoff contention, they start winning and fuck up their pick.

This year because the East is so bad, they still technically have a shot at the postseason, but I would be very surprised if this next 10 out of 11 on the road stretch didn't seal our fate as a lottery team.

As a Rockets fan I'm as happy as can be at this point. Things are looking up after the loss of Yao and they are playing incredibly well. With that said, I have been waiting for a stretch of tough games like they face next week. There is not a doubt in my mind that we will make the playoffs but next week will decide whether we are actual contenders. I expect the streak to end next week against one of the powerhouses, but I also fully expect the Rockets to come out of next week with at least 2 wins if not more (4 w's would be amazing).

Yeah I read on the daily dime that after two more easy ones against Atlanta and Charlotte, their next 5 are Lakers, Celtics, Hornets, Warriors and Suns. If they somehow go 5-0 against those teams, then then Ewing Theory will be in full swing.

I've always thought Adelman was an underrated coach. Hopefully he'll get the recognition he deserves. he's had some collapses. The failures of the kings seemed to be blamed on the players more than him
