yeah, i remember them talking at length about how nathan and nikki/jessica/traci had their powers given to them, while the others had it genetically. my guess is arthur can't recode their dna, so he probably just makes their power dormant or something and the formula, or even ando, can reinvigorate it. 12/16/2008 11:40:05 PM |

I left that episode thinking powers are derived from the person's personality, whether it was genetic or artificial.
- Peter wants to help people, so he gains their ability - Sylar was facinated at how things works, so he can "figure out" abilities - Daphne wants to run/walk, so she can - real fast - Traci is a cold hearted bitch, so she can freeze shit - Parkman wanted to be a detective and solve problems, so he's a telepath
I realize its not a foolproof theory 12/17/2008 12:07:13 AM |

^ I see what you did there.
Hiro - Hated his childhood because he always saw himself as a failure to his father. As a office worker, was always somewhere else in his mind, always day dreaming about the future. Hence, time/space powerz? 12/17/2008 8:37:44 AM |

Absolutely, you're right. It still doesn't make any sense how they were able to travel both ways... but you're also right that it's a scifi show.
Still, I like a little bit of real science thrown in sometimes. Personally, I think it would have made more sense for them to be freaking out about Hiro being stuck 16 years in the past, then he walks in the door, 16 years older (having lived those 16 years out)

I'm under the impression that it doesn't matter who dies this season, because this 'tangent' in time that leads to the world ending will be reversed by time travel that will occur towards the end of the next Volume. 12/17/2008 4:13:44 PM |
