^^it is just like any other dumb show. i don't really watch any other girly shows like desperate housewives, but it seems like it would be similar in concept?? i don't know. it isn't reality so i'm not sitting there being like "omg this is so awesome" or whatever people are supposed to think when they watch it.

You know how you get mad and frustrated if your internet slows down... imagine if the whole world slowed down like that, even if it is gradual it won't seem that once once it actually slows down because we can't move and money is useless... every man for himself, the real survival of the fittest. Go the gym and get strong, its like having money in the bank, you'll need it. People would freak out and panic becasue we humans are far to ahead of ourselves and don't know how to live at much lower standards... the end of the world is near, I just hope I am already dead when it happens. Have all of your studies prepared you for this nightmare scenario?

ive recently become way hooked on the law and order spinoffs, and they moved house reruns to USA. so when i sit down on TV days i can catch like 20 starter wife commercials in a sitting. and that red headed chick pops up at the bottom of the screen all grinning like a newborn whore.

it fucks with me, maybe that says more about me than it does about the show. ha ha

i don't watch a lot, but i do record a lot. whenever i get bored i go through on history and discovery and etc and record all the stuff that looks cool. i never watch tv live, i have tv days when its rainy or i'm bored, etc. but i end up erasing like half of it every week at least.

the cleaner looks lame, its on A&E with the "mexican" dude from law and order. he's like an interventionist PI motherfucker who performs unrealistic miracles on unrealistic junkies with unrealistic stories.

from what i've seen, the factchecking is terrible and the storylines are shit. it'd be different if it were on SCI-FI or something.

i just hate shows that get advertised like crazy that are based on stupid notions about the way people act. drugs, relationships, police, whatever.

^^ ohhh i see. yea i used to do that but then i just got rid of DVR and the only reason i have digital cable is because they gave me really bad customer service (surprise surprise) so i got to keep it for the same price as standard or whatever the like kind in between basic and digital is. but it is only for a year. but yea i did that because i never have time to watch tv. but it sucks because that is like my one way of chilling out and i DO watch it a lot late at night after i finish all my shit. and i would like to record things. but i'm getting over it. but yea i used to record discovery and discovery health and ngo specials like there was no tomorrow. ended up deleting a lot of them as well.

^^ i transferred (from cofc). i'm from raleigh. i applied to transfer to miami (ohio) got in. unc got waitlisted. ncsu got in. sooo i wanted to go to a more college-y school (charleston is fun, maybe a little too fun, and didn't really seem like college. i wanted a bigger school. diversity. football, etc). so i chose state because i didn't want to move away (to ohio) again and hate it. although i think i would have liked it (dad went there), i was too scurred. waitlists are blah and i never even tried to get in off of it. just went to state instead

ummmmmm probably not. i don't really learn anything useful in school. you don't really learn about the law honestly. you do a little bit. but i think it is more about working you hard and getting you to think in different ways about problems. like very few of the cases in our casebooks are meant to illustrate a certain rule of law. they usually illustrate problems---and like the opposite, that even when you think there's a black and white rule about something, there's not and you're wrongggg. even in practice, from what i've seen, research is probably the best skill to have. because things are always changing, they vary from state to state, and no one knows every single rule on the books. i guess that is why paralegals and interns exist. plus, even if you know the rules you're probably wrong. and if you're right it doesn't matter because all judges are different. and some don't care about rules. like at all.
