The three words most of you love hearing from me:

I WAS WRONG.

I watched a lot of basketball this year and among other things, via the eye test, I thought the Big East was the best conference by a pretty large margin. But I've always maintained that come March is where that is generally decided.

I try and be pretty objective and don't have much of a problem realizing when my team/conference isn't very good so I really wasn't trying to be a homer. I was just wrong.

It has been one big clunker in both the NIT and the NCAA so far. Big XII is the best conference and the Big East and ACC are actually probably pretty equal.

Oh and my bracket is nuked (not just because of the Big East)!

We'll see how well the ACC stacks up today. The Big East is only 1-3 in the first round right? That leaves 4 teams the opportunity to win now.

And except for Georgetown (which was embarrassing) the rest were close, competitive NCAA tournament caliber games.

But again, we'll see at the end of the day today how the Big East really stacks up. There're only two games today that are dicey, and even then one of them is probably not as iffy as it seems.

The Villanova game was pretty damn embarrassing as well. They got the W only because reynolds went into d-wade mode getting phantom calls on every freakin drive down the stretch.

^^ really makes me wonder how much the week long Big east tournament might burn some of these teams out. I definitely wasn't slobbing the Big East knob like some on here, but I also don't think they were as bad as their showing yesterday indicated.
