I thought it was odd he didnt run in on his miss. Anyone who has played ball knows he knew that thing was short. I bet he was surprised it hit the rim period. Regardless of that situation.....watching Lewis shoot at the end over and over again was painful to watch.
I also liked when the team had a complete melt down on if to foul or not. How long have these guys been playing competitive basketball? 5/17/2010 12:19:21 PM |

LOL... he wasn't even going back on defense. He was standing inside foul line extended halfway to the baseline.

I don't see any way the Suns can win this series, although Bynum's knee has apparently gotten worse over the last 10 days or so

There really isn't any evidence or prior events to substantiate such a claim. This Boston team, on the otherhand, has never lost a series. 5/17/2010 7:23:21 PM |

best way to win an argument --
1. assume your opponent made the most extreme argument 2. refute that 3. ... 4. win!
running count: bad play -1 bad play -1 good shot +1 contested shot -1 good assist +1 bailed out on bad drive - missed FT +1 horrible drive-turnover -1 foul -0.5? good drive +1 (thanks to powell)
So, for the last part of the quarter kobe was -0.5?
Kobe did stay on the perimeter most of the time and didn't really screen for anyone. It could be argued that he cleared out space for the lakers bigs.

Odom is just plain dominating out there. Considering he's one of the better players in the league, I guess the voters just refuse to vote for him for 6th man of the year. Especially since Jason Terry came in 2nd and he's terrible now.
If Frye could stop throwing up bricks that would be great. Also, if Artest and Farmar of all people could both stop knocking down jumpers.
What a great lift Phoenix has gotten from Lopez since Amare and Almundson are getting destroyed out there defensively. 5/17/2010 10:01:42 PM |

Tough half for Phoenix. They arent hitting threes or free throws and their interior defense is getting obliterated by that unreal Laker frontline.
It's not a good sign for Kobe's career that he's being contained by a 38 year old without any help defense assigned to him. He's wise to stay in such a great situation with an unmatched frontline that can keep him in the limelight.
If Phoenix is going to give up so many easy baskets, they can't afford not to create a few turnovers to offset the damage.
Nash's shot appears to be way off, perhaps the eye injury is affecting him a lot considering he's one of the best (if not the best) pure shooters of all-time.
Let's hope Amare has something in the tank, because that first half was just ugly no wonder there isn't much of a market for him... 5/17/2010 10:13:15 PM |

Nash's MVPs are a joke, no question. He should have never even gotten a single vote for the award either year.
That doesn't mean he's not one of the greatest shooters of all-time.
