No one has said we lost because of officiating. It's a legitimate gripe that Barnes wasn't T'd up after that yell and hang on the rim and that Zeller didn't foul out. The only reason they called that 4th foul was because it was so obvious (Harrow getting thrown to the floor) that they had no choice but to call it.

the officiating was horrendous. only one foul on zeller in the second half??? he should have fouled out of the games 3 times over.

no technical on us for having 6 guys on the court? every single person in the damn arena saw it.

speaking of the officiating, what happened with the foul called on Lorenzo getting tangled up with Knox? Brown's head was under Knox's arm when they were getting position for the rebound. Even the cameraman focused in close on Knox after the ref blew the whistle.

I can't believe how much shit a ton of State fans have been talking about our basketball team after last night on facebook.

I still woke up angry about losing to Carolina, but it wasn't like the game was full of errors that resulted in us getting blown out. We played a close game, and made a few stupid mental mistakes that got us out of the game at the end. Listening to some of these people, you'd think that coach Lowe played the walk-ons the whole time, and the freshman quit and walked off the court mid-game.

I don't want to sound like some elitist...but these casual basketball fans who run their mouths are so fucking annoying. They're probably also the same ones who don't cheer on the team at games, and boo our own players.

we came out strong with a 10pt lead because of coaching, don't look for every excuse to knock coach without giving him props for a good game plan. The players must take responsibility too, they made some stupid decisions down the stretch that I'm sure they weren't coached to do.

Haven't read this whole thread, but you've got to love the energy we played with. If Brown or Harrow ever develop an outside shot, we'd be hard to stop. The multiple threes those two missed -- and the ones CJW missed -- were uncontested. Just got to make them.

To me, the point of no return was Harrow's turnover on the breakaway around the 2:30 mark. He had a lane and could have taking it all the way to basket, but tried to sneak it over to Leslie. A score there would have cut it down to 3 and given us full-on momentum. Instead, Marshall steals it and Barnes hits a 3 on the next pocession. Ball game.

So right after I post about people complaining about the coaching in last nights game (among other things), I leave for class and pick up a school paper where the headline of the paper reads 'HOW LOWE CAN YOU GO' accompanied by a picture of Lowe yelling at the ref, which took up nearly all of the space above the fold.

I also saw CJL a minute later while going to class and just told him that they played a good game even though we got the L. In passing, I also said to ignore the idiots, while pointing at the paper. He said he wished he heard more people going 'ooooooooo' then getting louder going 'OOOOO POWER PACK POWER PACK BACK THE PACK' at the game. Maybe if they capped it off with a loud rockin rap song our something, he said, the place would have gone wild, and given them the energy they needed to win the game.

If you were going to make that call how about calling an intentional on the other end when the state player was completely undercut. There was no attempt on the ball at all during that foul. Zeller should have fouled out. I was watching the game with a UNC fan and I told him during the first half the only reason Williams left Zellar in to get his third foul is that the refs would do whatever they could to keep him from fouling out.

It was a very physical game on both sides. Kind of shocking how low the foul count and FT count was. They were allowing a ton of contact in the paint on both sides. Zeller could have easily fouled out early.

Still can't get over how we weren't T'd up for playing 10 seconds with six guys.

It was after the last timeout as we had just put the ball in play at the other end of the court. The camera was likely on the inbounds pass near UNC bench and not on our bench when Vandy was almost pulled of by Coach Lowe.
