He called one right after Bullock hit a 3 to cut it to 11 at the 5 minute mark. He probably could have called another one towards the end, but it's not like he left the guys out there to die. There were 7 full timeouts in the last five minutes.

Gott is very conservative with his timeouts. We usually still have at least 4 left going into the second half of almost every game.

That was the FIRST timeout he called of the entire second half. You are trying to nurse all you can out of what is really a 6 man rotation (the less we need lewis and vandenburg at this point the better) and you wait until then to call your first timeout of the half??? That isn't smart. Also he waited until UNC well and truly gained momentum to even call the timeout. As soon as UNC started mounting that run you could see the team was gassed and gott just sat there wringing his hands. He ended the game with 2 timeouts and a gassed team. Not a good move.

For those of you hating on Brown at the end, he admitted in the post-game that he was out of gas but refused to come out. He may have turned the ball over a bunch but he also went 2-2 from 3-point and 6-6 for the line with more than a 2:1 assist to turnover ratio. He was great.

Vandy refusing to dive on the floor in the first half really burned my biscuit. People asked why isn't he any better, I think it's cause he's not coachable. The coaches try to talk to him when he comes back to the bench and he wants nothing to do with them.

The student ticket distribution at the gate was complete bullshit. So many of us that were in line at 2 o'clock and freezing our asses off got thrown in the upper deck. We talked to Ricky and he said he was gonna have a talk with Debbie about this, because it really wasn't right. People that arrived there when the doors opened sat next to me and many were in the lower. I realize it's luck of the draw, but 5 hours before tip and you still can't get a lower is absurd.

I just did. From the 7:30 to about 1:30 is the greatest stretch of NC State basketball I've ever seen. It was 22-18 State when this happened:

-Purvis hits a three

-CJ with the poster dunk +1

-Howell with a layup off the Brown behind the back pass

-Brown spinning fast break layup.

-Howell floater in the lane

-Brown long outlet pass to Purvis. Monster jam

-Brown no-look pass to Purvis for an easy layup

-TJ steal at mid-court, dunk in transition

-Scott bomb pass to TJ for a layup


There were a few FT's mixed in too. At the end, it was a 23-4 run..... and it was increible. If you've got the game recorded, I highly recommend going back and watching this.
