yeah that was harrow leslie and brown sitting together. can only be good for us that leslie was there to witness it, and that he was sitting beside the elite backcourt we have coming in that could feed him the ball.

not to mention all the assists javi and farnold racked up. that had to look good too.

i'm still wary of sleazeball calipari so i'm fully prepared for leslie to go to UK, but it'd be the icing on the cake for next year's class for us. guess we'll find out eventually.

I don't really think we've had any overwhelmingly poor performances. Maybe some poor halves, but we've been competitive in just about every game.

other than us shitting the bed against wake we have been better than expected this season IMO.

poor performance at the foul line, yes. poor performance against the zone, yes. at least this team plays hard until the whistle blows 00.0

i was really glad to see us put together a full game against a quality opponent...it was refreshing to see us do pretty much everything right.

next year cant get here quick enough but hey....thats the wolfpack motto right?

Just my opinion, but CJL's interview he gave with Mark Maniscalco with 999 the fan (at the Clemson game) made up my mind for the time being - CJL is at least leaning towards UK. CJL didn't take any opportunities to elaborate on his answers, even with the rowdy crowd in the background. Just my opinion, but that's how I'm looking at the situation currently.

The Duke game however is the kind of wild card that could get State back in the race. If State looks like a team that could make a run for the ACC title going into next year, then I think CJL can justify picking us over Kentucky. But if we end up near the bottom of the conference again, I can't see him turning down an opportunity to be in the national spotlight over at UK. Just doesn't make sense from a business perspective.

Here's hoping State can pull off a few more wins like this and swing CJL back in our corner.

Think about all of the close games we've lost. Arizona(although that took a miracle for it to be close), Florida, Clemson. If we had won those and not come out so flat against UVA then it would be a different season. BUT, that is in the past. If we can keep up the kind of play that we've shown against clemson and duke then this will be a decent season. Not holding my breath though.

Harrow has a family member that works for an airline company and can get cheap flights. Hargrave isn't too far of a drive from Raleigh (2 hours if you go the speed limit). Most schools make exceptions for absences when the kid is visiting a college. I know my high school did.

Yeah this win has gotta help us big time with CJL- he's been to several of our games, pretty sure he saw the Florida miracle shot as well. It shouldn't be a problem to have reasonable success the rest of the regular season and maybe even do ok in the ACC tournament. The real question is whether Calipari is a slimy enough greaseball to steal Leslie like he did Wall. Maybe Lowe should get a couple dishonest greaseball assistants to make up for our disadvantage in that category. Or at least Roy Williams after he gets fired this season.

Harrow and Brown were not on official visits. They originally indicated that this would be their OV, but changed it a couple days before. They are taking their visit after the season is over.

Damn, how did Lowe pull that off? IF we get Leslie, which I could see as a possibility considering the other recruits we've got coming in, we have to have one of the best recruiting teams in the nation coming in right?

My boss at work is always lording UNC's high national recruit ranks over me at work (not that it's helped a lot lately). It would be nice to have a better one AND some results.

Nice article on Quincy Miller in today's W-S Journal. I haven't been keeping up with him, but he's 6'10 and apparantly moves like a guard. He's currently ranked as a top-10 player by Dave Telep. He didn't name any leaders, but I liked what he had to say about UNC on his twitter page:
