Not sure if this made it onto sportscenter or not, but Deuce Bello had an interview on espn for his between the legs dunk he threw down during a game.

I don't know if we've offered him yet, but we're at least recruiting him. Thought he played on WOG but apparently not. Interview was a little awkward because he answered the questions very succinctly and he thinks he's a better dunker than Nate Robinson. I'd be pissed off if I was on the other team and a guy did that during a game but I'm a little hypocritical in that regard because I crack a smile every time ryan does that dunk where he throws the ball off the backboard to himself and throws it down with one hand.

If you can be recruited all the way until august, it makes sense that CJL will take his time playing the field like any man with whore after whore college pining over him. He'll make his decision at the last minute, and there are some decent reasons for him to pick NC State (#1: his mama)

if he's like that after one loss, how could he possibly have had the intestinal fortitude to play for us (yes, i'm sure he would have been enough of a game changer to make some of our losses victories, but we would not be 20-1 now even with him)

nah, SF is right. Lebron came out of highschool on the tail end of what seemed like a boat load of desparate highschoolers jumping college to join the NBA. A bunch of them were busts, so the public sentiment of Lebron was not nearly as unanimous as it is for John Wall.

Hell, think about how the hype was for Wall a few months ago before he played a game for Kentucky, now compare that to his hype now... That's about the same difference between Lebron back then and John Wall now.

Dude just last year Blake Griffin going #1 was a stone cold lock as well. I never heard even one story saying he wouldn't go #1. Obviously Wall is a lock earlier in his career and earlier in this season than Griffin was last year so I can kind of agree on your assessment.

It's dumb to try and predict what would happen should we have had a guy like Wall. Changes the whole dynamic of the team. Also, the fact that the surrounding cast at UK is SO MUCH BETTER than ours.

Don't get me wrong, we'd obviously be better but it is impossible to quantify how much.

IMO, we won't be missing anything with Cothron. He plays with little effort and gets pushed around easily in the paint, likes to shoot 3's and cherry picks like crazy. Don't trust his lofty averages.
