This is the ultimate. It's not the death sentence that gives UNC fans the easy "oh we dont care about football".

but it's several years of probation, probably some house clearing (Butch has to go for god's sake right?), terrible recruiting, and a laser eye on their program to prevent them from continuing to cheat.

We all knew cheating was rampant when UNC went from doormat to getting elite players at every position seemingly overnight. It didn't help that Butch had a terrible reputation coming in already. If this is just the stuff they got caught doing, imagine what all was going on behind the scenes.

It's funny how much money they are going to lose on their stadium expansion now that their team will suck. I just hope the taxpayers don't foot the bill. But even if they do it will be the best fucking use of taxpayer dollars I've ever paid.

The notion that Butch Davis didn't know or wasn't involved in this stuff is preposterous. You're not going to be a division 1 head coach unless you're a type A personality control freak. They way I see it, part of doing your job well is keeping yourself properly insulated from potential investigation.

Of course Pete Carroll knew about the stuff at USC.

Of course Jim Tressel knew about the stuff at OSU.

Of course Butch Davis knew about the stuff at UNC.

The only question on the matter is if it can be traced to him.
