What we lack is the same thing we have lacked for a long time. SOMEONE WHO CAN CREATE THEIR OWN SHOT. It wouldn't surprise me if Lowe's lack of College coaching experience led to this situation (big men are the thing to have in the NBA) but he is now seemingly remedying that situation with the recruitment and signing of not just one but two 5 star guards. Do we risk loosing these guards by firing Lowe right now and getting another nobody for a coach? How does that seem like a smart move to you people?

Anyway it was interesting to see Hubert Davis's glowing praise of Lowe today. I heard the interview today and he seemed to think this team was still capable and had nothing but good things to say about Lowe. Of course he could have just been trying to give the impression he was unbiased.

Look I started this fucking thread when everyone else was drinking their own semen about Coach Lowe.

Don't act like I'm an unabashed Lowe supporter.

To get rid of Lowe THIS SEASON would be completely ridiculous. Our team isn't great but this is a team who sucked donkey last year and lost 70% of their rebounding and scoring.

These guys are VERY inexperienced. Next year we WILL make the NCAA tournament. This year we WILL NOT make the NCAA tournament.

We WILL get better over the course of the season and we will be a better team next year because of it.

Remember, we are losing no one but Horner and Degand off a team that goes 10 deep right now. And we are bringing in 3 guys who are potential impact players.


Why is everyone upset this year? Of all years, this is the one that has given me hope. We look good against non "BCS" schools and we look like we're just about to get over the hump against conference opponents...

^^^^Maybe you were right that this team is going to be complete garbage but at least it looks like they are trying and putting effort into the game. I thought the apathy that was present on last years team was really what hurt them in the end and that apathy seems to be gone.

It's not my job to hire a new coach and my opinion means jack shit. I do pay the WPC and pay for season tickets and etc. but I still have to go with what Fowler does as much as it angers me.

What is the worst thing that happens if Lowe is fired? He won't get another coaching job at another school, so it is feasible that we keep Harrow and Brown provided our new AD would land a good coach. Tell me you at least would be okay with this? I mean those two guys are the ONLY reasons people want Lowe to stay.
