Bledsoe @Philly or Eli at home against the Vikings?
and
Falcons D against GB, or Jaguars D against Baltimore?
Bledsoe's averaging slightly higher points, but Eli's playing at home. Same with the Falcons (better numbers), but Baltimore's offense does pretty much blow.
Oh, and one more--I dropped a shitty RB off my bench and picked up Cotchery since he's been upgraded to WR. I have Hines Ward starting right now, but Ben's out and there's a good chance of a repeat of Ward's one-point performance from last week. Any thoughts?

Eli has been playing well at home GB's offense is better than Baltimore's so go with Jax. And with Batch in none of their WR's or TE's will get any looks. 11/11/2005 10:04:13 AM |
DaveOT All American 11945 Posts user info edit post |
Yeah, I really wouldn't be surprised if Ward has another 10-yard game. But on the other hand, Cotchery's not exactly going to be a prime target either--although the Jets have started to establish a pass attack in the last 1.5 games.
Sucks when your only other option is Stallworth, but even he's on a bye week. 11/11/2005 10:07:20 AM |

even with batch at QB, ward has to be a better option than cotchery. 11/11/2005 10:26:59 AM |
LudaChris All American 7946 Posts user info edit post |
Well if in the game I believe Cotchery will be matched up with Ricky Manning Jr., so his match-up isn't exactly bad.
Neither are good choices so go with talent, and Ward is the better talent. I mean heck Batch can find him on a little short pass and Ward can make it much more. 11/11/2005 12:28:35 PM |

what is the deal with Cotchery right now. How come he isnt getting the looks and receptions he should be. He is listed as the #2 receiver right? 11/11/2005 12:31:14 PM |
DaveOT All American 11945 Posts user info edit post |
#3 receiver. On their website depth chart, they have the receivers split into two separate lists; he's the second on one of those lists. He just got moved up this week, which is why he hasn't seen much action this year. 11/11/2005 12:39:35 PM |

Two people in my league have attempted to swap Kenan McCardell and Alex Smith five times over the last three days, and it's been voted down by the league every time. People are starting to get pretty pissed at each other.

i could either go with 2 RBs/3 WRs or 3 RBs/2 WRs:
Willis McGahee, Buf RB Tiki Barber, NYG RB Julius Jones, Dal RB Domanick Davis, Hou RB
Santana Moss, Was WR Larry Fitzgerald, Ari WR Torry Holt, StL WR Koren Robinson, Min WR
i'm sticking with McGahee, Barber, and Moss. now i have to decide who should go in the other two spots. although im probably not gonna play him this week... don't knock KRob... he has consistently hit around his avg the past 6 games, which helped fill in for injuries and bye weeks. haha 11/12/2005 1:50:09 AM |
LudaChris All American 7946 Posts user info edit post |
Julius Jones - Coming off an injury, Marion Barber has been solid so look for split carries. Domanick Davis - Game-Time Decision, so avoid if possible.
Larry Fitzgerald - Detroit's D is depleted and Boldin is out so he should get plenty of looks. Torry Holt - Coming back from injury with Bulger returning, so look for a good game from him.
I'd go with Larry or Torry, your decision but I'd steer clear of Julius and Domanick based on their injuries. 11/12/2005 3:28:33 AM |

That's a rough 4 to choose 3 from, but I'd go with...
Hines Ward - maybe Batch will throw the ball this week Donald Driver - GB will be throwing the ball quite frequent if Gaddo doesn't get rolling Bobby Engram - Seattle's #1 WR, last week was his first game back, look for numbers to improve
I don't like the Ward pick that much, but I like the Dilfer vs. Pitt's D even less, haha. 11/12/2005 11:25:07 AM |

4^ Julius Jones who is coming off an injury and splitting carries with Marion Barber or Cadillac Williams who is playing bad as of late and will be splitting carries with Pittman who has been banged up
The last time Dallas played Philly they threw all over them, but since Chris Simms can't get their passing game going, Washington will put 8 in the box to stop Cadillac Williams.
^^You're right, with that match-up, it really won't matter. Any other week I'd say Edge and Larry Johnson, but after looking at Tiki's match-up and his recent play at home, I wouldn't be suprised if he had a really good game. So any of those will be good starts, but don't be suprised if Tiki has a better game than Larry Johnson. 11/13/2005 10:09:15 AM |

i noticed my league manager only makes scoring changes when it benefits him. he has done something like this 2 or 3 times now. i'm in first place with a three game lead and i play this guy next week. i wonder what other changes he will decide to make between now and then.11/13/2005 7:56:19 PM |

yeah... i'm almost to that point. i think any scoring changes made this late in the season need to be approved by everybody, and they shouldn't affect previous weeks already played. i noticed two people now have a tie on their record (from week 1) that wasn't there earlier. they didn't have a tie until these scoring changes.
i'm gonna see if anyone else in my league has a problem with this. 11/13/2005 8:36:17 PM |

I lost yet again. Eli played like shit. No TD's for Steven Jackson or Gonzales. Harrison played good. Bears defense played good, but I had Carolina on the bench who got twice as much. Can't believe only 1 INT in that windstorm. SF wouldn't throw the ball. Got lucky that they ruled the last play of the half a blocked kick/TD for my defense. Put Porter in Owen's spot. Almost nothing. Cadillac got me negative points. I would have started Gado but someone else got him on waiver and then didn't start him. Still just pisses me off that I couldn't pick him up when he first played. I had Ahman Green and then Fisher. I figured Duce Staley would have a big game last night, and then fat ass Bettis gets most of 1st half carries, including a TD. Then Verron Haynes gets late TD. Wheres the love for Duce? I had Duce last year and made the fantasy bowl. He got a lot of yards and 1 TD. Man, I hate Jerome Fatass. Miserable year. I lost this week by 8. Same guy beat me 2 weeks ago by 5. That week he had Corey Dillon get 2 1-yard plunges and then the next night had Heath Miller get 3 catches for 19 yards, but 2 TD's. I have 200 more overall pts than he does. Its insane. I'm getting where I despise fantasy football. 11/14/2005 12:26:11 PM |

I figured Eli at home against the Vikings was a safe bet, but instead he throws 4 INTs. That's it, you're on the bench from here on out.
