I think Americans care about football. Hockey is kind of 4th string when it comes to importance. A lot of people I know wtach hockey during the playoffs, but aren't too hard core about it during the regular season.

^^if youre gonna congratulate the team, why wouldnt you congratulate the manager? if this all stems from that interview he had back in dec or jan then that is ridiculous. SAF hasnt done or said anything to instigate benitez to be a douche, yet benitez decided to be one anyway. id be fine with him not congratulating united in general rather than congratulating the team but not the manager. im not sure why hes trying to add more fuel to the fire, but i guess he has nothing better to do while still sitting int he backseat to united.

i know jadn has given his disseration as to why he is a diehard red devil supporter on numerous occasions in this thread and during past EPL threads.

i continue to just be a fan of the league, because it is without a doubt the best league in the world at the moment. i don't have a team, i need to start supporting one though. i don't want to bandwagon it so i'll probably hold off for a little while longer. i was fully prepared to ride the chelsea nuthugging session when shevchenko jumped on board (dated a ukrainian, housed a ukrainian exchange student, etc.) but that fell apart quicker than expected (even if you expected it, you didn't see it coming that quickly). i have a shevchenko chelsea jersey, but it was always a matter of supporting player over team while he was there, i didn't really give 2 shits about the rest of the squad, other than essien who i enjoy. i was an AC Milan fan when he was in his prime, but i've always just followed his career.
