I've been loving getting to watch the running games of the Titans and Panthers recently but it still sucks having to see Ronde Barber owned like that. Easily one of my favorite players. 12/9/2008 12:55:27 AM |

That was the best game in Panthers regular season history.....
No doubt, they are winning despite Delhomme being a bottom 10 NFL QB. 12/9/2008 11:39:45 AM |

why is everyone hating on delhomme, i think he did pretty well last night. yeah he made a bad decision on that throw to rosario that resulted in a pick to barber. that other pick was a fluke, and jeff king should have made that play. he did have that one play where he should have thrown the ball away when he was rolling out of the pocket, but moose was breaking free and he was trying to make a play. He was 14/20 for 170 yards last night and 1 td. I will take a 70 percent completion percentage any day. Yeah I know hes not perfect, but I think he can bring a superbowl to Carolina 12/9/2008 12:08:36 PM |

Delhomme is the glue
He may not be the best at execution, but all the guys rally around him, and his line audibles tend to end up in successful plays 12/9/2008 12:26:40 PM |

if that pick from barber had been run back for a td like it could have been you wouldn't be so easy on him

We should get a new starting quarterback to play most of the games, then let Delhomme play during the 4th quarter and the playoffs. 12/9/2008 12:27:34 PM |

When your team runs for 300 yards, almost any QB can look good.
Delhomme is pathetic and getting worse. They are winning in spite of him, not because of him.
There are only about 6-7 QBs in the NFL starting worse than him right now. 12/9/2008 12:48:09 PM |

so who is the better Rb duo?
Williams and Stewart
or
White and Johnson
Pretty damn close. With the Titans when one struggles, the other usually does better. It seems that Williams and Stewart either both turn it on or not at all. They are diesel though and showed it last night for damn sure. I cant really see who is better at goal line b/w the two (williams and stewart) and they are "low" downhill runners which is the way the ball should be run

Man what is with all these Delhomme haters?? Is he top 5 quarterback in the league? Of course not, but he plays his role. He's not gonna go for 300 yds every game, but he made some key passes last night when we needed them. Hate on him all you want, but Panthers are 10-3 with him @ QB and I think his 4th quarter history speaks for itself 12/9/2008 1:01:02 PM |

^The funny thing about the Giants is that they thought they wouldn't miss a 6'5" wide receiver that could catch any ball thrown his way. Then I watch the game Sunday and see tons of dropped passes and Eli not being able to find any open receivers as he waits in the pocket. Their offense is simply not the same without Plax, and they might not have Jacobs for a while either. Winnable game.

Yeah, I don't get it either. It's like Panthers fans completely wiped last year from their memory. NFL quarterbacks that can run an offense and make plays in the clutch are a rarity. For all his faults, Delhomme can do those 2 things, and that's really all we need with the running game we have.
9 of his 11 picks this season came in 3 games (Tampa 2x, and Oakland), and we won 2/3 of those games. He's not a liability. Dumping him to take a risk on a 1st round draft pick or some other teams free agent garbage would be insanity.

Down with the Jake haters.
He's not pretty, never seems to be in a rhythm, and does at least three things every game that make me go DAMMMMMIT JAKE. But he's a winner and a leader, and more importantly, the one thing that gets the whole offense on the same page (not to mention he's by far the best option we've got). Teams have went to and won super bowls with far less from the QB spot 12/9/2008 3:11:41 PM |

Yeah we used it on Otah.
Which seems like a fantastic move now, he's been pretty damn good.
I wondered WTF we were thinking, and every analyst thought it was a reach, but it looks like they knew what they were doing.12/9/2008 3:16:39 PM |

I hated the whole first round of the draft for the Panthers. I thought Stewart was overrated and had no explosion. I was pissed we didn't draft Mendenhall. I thought Otah was a fat dump who couldn't move and a waste of a pick. It's a damn good thing I'm not in charge. 12/9/2008 3:21:58 PM |

I wanted Otah at 13, he was exactly the type of RT we were looking for. I was only pissed when we drafted Stewart because I knew there wouldn't be any elite RTs left when we picked again in the 2nd round. Of course I was happy when we traded up and got Otah as well, though I was a little worried about the steep price paid to do so.
It worked out great. He has been down right dominant when healthy this year. 12/9/2008 3:57:17 PM |

my dad and i have 2 psl's in the silver club down on the 2nd row. We've had these seats for 2 seasons now and if you have experience with the silver club you know that its almost entirely corporate owned with different faces showing up each game. The only two people who are there week to week with us are a husband and wife in the first row right in front of us.
I swear to god, 3rd play into the game a guy 2 rows behind me the 4 of us actually screamed at us to sit down. I about lost it. here was these two douche bags with girlfriends/wives sitting down with a pile of blankets wrapped around them. i was baffled. luckily i didnt have to say anything before someone else down our row yelled at them "this is fucking monday night football. if you wanted to be warm and sit down you should have stayed at home" ahh it was great, but that is seriously the mindset that most of the attending fans have, especially in that lower club level. I love the ammenities of the silver club, but we are seriously thinking about trying to get into the lowest level where the real fans are. 12/9/2008 4:18:17 PM |

i was in section 541 last night - upper deck, but right on the 50. was pretty surprised at the lack of snobbery up there last night. it was nice to stand up at a panthers game and not be yelled at by some most likely UNC fan to sit down and shut up.
^^hah...we were in row 24.
