He didn't say that he wouldn't sign a long term deal they just didn't get one done before the deadline. Under the CBA they can not negotiate again until after the season is over.

I would say the health of both lines will play a big factor as well....since we have little to no depth on both....Bad o-line = shitty qb play, bad d-line = getting burned in the secondary.

Steve Reid was saying that Kemo didn't roll his ankle and it didn't seem that serious

Also as far as Vick, basically Hurney and Fox said some standard "we are happy with our current QB situation but we are always open to improving our team" which basically means "We aren't signing Vick but we're not going to publicly talk shit about him"

I was listening to Frank and Buck a few minutes ago and they updated the injury news

Beason will be out two days and they said he actually injured it a week and half ago while working out and didn't loosen it up enough this morning before practice.

Kemo has a sprain and they said he was en route back to charlotte at the moment to get precautionary x rays.

Beason is fine, he says its just a small strain due to not warming up properly. Panthers will likely hold him out of the next two or three practices to be safe.
