of course... if we can hold on to a tie and send it to penalties I like our chances but that's a long way away.

This feels like NC State basketball vs Duke...we play well for 35 minutes and then forget that there's 5 left to play

Took Bradley too long to sub. Feilhaber was obviously tired when he started fouling. Altidore and Davies are tired from chasing down balls all game long. Donovan has lost his top gear. A sub into the midfield earlier might have saved that goal from happening.

They're stacking Kaka and Robinho on the left side.

Penalties are the best shot at this point... hold tight.

I actually really like the Bornstein sub on the left side of midfield. He'll have legs for the rest of the game and he's got a defensive mentality.

WOWOWOW. Great play by Demerit right there.

This is like a herb sendek team... get up early and play really soft to hold on

I know nothing about soccer, but repeatedly, the US has given the wide ball for the easy corner and tons and tons of opportunities for BRA. It could easily br 5-2 with a correct call and some better BRA balls.

I don't know much about soccer but why didn't the us "pull out all the stops" down 1 in stoppage time it seemed like they weren't taking any risks and still had most of their players near their own goal ready to defend instead of attacking the ball. In football you blitz in that situation, in basketball you press, trap and foul, in baseball you pinch hit and in hockey you empty the net. Is there nothing like that in soccer or did the US just give up?

Just saw the replay of the 3rd goal off the corner kick.. Somebody didn't pull off the far post, they were never on it to begin with. That is something they teach you in rec league. Great experience for the US and pretty pleased with how we showed after the first couple games.

I think if we'd had Bradley for this game we would have pulled it out. Like they said our depth just wasn't there. We should have subbed some people out around minute 60 but in reality we didn't have anyone to go into center midfield that is in good form. Edu would have been good to have there. Mastroeni would have been good. It was obvious Feilhaber was out of gas though. He should have been subbed out 15 minutes earlier.

this is so disappointing in so many ways....forget how we got to the final, we were there and we were winning and in it...then halftime comes...

im sure bradley says ok, odds are against them, lets just try to sit back like we did against spain...except this time it bit them...

guys, dont forget there were a couple chances in the 2nd half for us, dempsey's shot, davies almost dribbing through everyone and couple others i cant remember

the better team won
