david and jed (nr guys) have known nothing the entire time, but if anyone got trolled, we all did

the manager of the bar is moving to chicago because of this

the main bartender has taken another job

all of the DJs are finding other gigs

so if anyone thinks this is something the employees all cooked up to drum up business, it simply isn't so

personally, i'm kinda sick of having to call every day and find out if i have to go in, so i can't decide if i'm glad we're still rolling or what

I started all of this hubbub, hoping all of my own hip clientele who sometimes frequent Jackpot would devote an entire 2 weeks to it, rather than Ruckus.


oooooohhh I got them rolllliieeees. face it. someone, or some people with whom you are friendly have misinformed you, for whatever reason. most likely, they're just confused about the future outcome and its timing, and are cashing in in the meantime. really isn't another explanation.

Hell, it's nothing I wouldn't do, too. If I was told we were gonna close soon, every weekend would be farewell weekend.

I went to a company anniversary party last night, and I was just blown away by the amount of food they had.

4 identical buffet tables
Each with 2 rows of identical food (either side)
Each table 65 feet long

So that's 65 x 8 = 520 ft of food

And that doesn't include the 2 fruit tables and 2 big ass dessert tables (100 ft of dessert), neither does it include the table with SIX 2.5 ft diameter platters each one with a whole cooked lamb on a huge bed of rice. BTW, the 4 long tables had on them an additional 8 of the whole lamb platters I described.

After people were finished, I walked around, and there was so much food left it was sad (and sick). I hope they give it to poor people or something (or give it to the party hall employees), cuz if they throw it away, that's just sick.

BTW, this company (my father works there) does this anniversary party every year at the same party hall. I would have to guess a 1,000 people were there. Maybe 1,500, but not more.
