After losing to Wake and Duke and being exploited... it is hard to find where 3 more wins will come from. I fully expect TOB to at least finish 6-6 + a bowl win, because he promised to improve every year (Year 1: 5-7, Year 2: 6-7, Year 3: minimum of 7-6 is expected)

If he does not deliver, then something will change. TOB must make the decision to make staffing changes (starting with Archer). If TOB does not agree to staffing changes, then he will have 1 more year for a major improvement to prove everyone wrong (i'm talking minimum of 8-4)... if he can't, he's out.

i don't think i've ever been as pissed off and baffled at a coaching performance as i was today. the loss to a pitiful wake forest team in the acc tournament a few years back was close, but this may take the cake. (granted i wasn't in the country for chuck's last season)

TOB said in the postgame that the D tried everything- blitz,man, etc. we still played ten yards off of the receivers even when we went man to man, so i'm not sure that really counts as man to man coverage, Tom! and several of our blitzes did work.

it's funny some of the posters on this site talking about how state fans crucify their coaches. in any other profession, if you don't do your job, you get canned. if you think mike archer has done his job the past few years, then you're clueless. i'm not saying TOB needs to go now but understand the sentiments of those who do. unfortunately i think RW masks a lot of coaching defects, just like PR did for the clown.
