^that attitude is exactly why donovan chokes hard in big games. There is a huge difference between being humble and classy and basically saying your team has a slim chance to win--however true that might be. The guy is supposed to be our leader and he should at least be putting on a face of someone who thinks they can legitimately win.

I predict a disappointing WC for the US.

I wouldn't go so far. He's not captain material, but I think his recent form in international matches disagrees with your assertion. He was vital at the Confederations Cup and I think he believes the US can compete with anyone. The fact that he's realistic, probably alluding to the fact that their form does not indicate that they can win against the best teams in the world consistently, doesn't make him a drag on the team. I wouldn't give him the armband either though.

I don't think we'll do too well, either. But I'm not gonna point at Donovan. I'm reserving that finger[, and more importantly, the middle one] for Sweatpants. I can't see this guy pulling off the tactical planning needed to do anything noteworthy in a World Cup.

Its a more defensive Brazil team than probably ever...Dunga doesnt play for flashy old school brazil style. so its gonna be a more boring brazil than people are used to (theyll still have more style and skill than almost every country). the hardest decision they are gonna have to make is either playing julio cesar or gomes in goal since both are outstanding shot stopping keepers.

i have a feeling brazil is gonna win this WC too, but not for flashy offensive tactics. They are gonna shut down teams defensively this year
