+7.5

Bryant:
-1 turnover
-0.5 missed open shot
+1 drawing foul

+7 end of third

unless kobe stinks up the 4th, this is a great game for him. not going to go back and look, but i would say gasol probably has less negative plays and does more to create for others. Kobe's plays are mostly all in isolation

+1 3
-1 heat check
+1 he's on fire

what the hell did shannon brown just try to do

I don't want Magic-Lakers again but I don't think there's anything we can do about that...fuck.

It's getting to a point where I actually want Lebron to go to whatever team he'd have the best shot of beating the Lakers, thus turning the league entirely into Lebron vs. Kobe, year after year.

What part of Game 1 of the Magic/Celtics series leads you to believe theres no way we won't have a Lakers/Magic finals

Yeah, I mean, the Suns are well coached and could make some adjustments, but there are certain realities in this matchup that they simply can't fix. They don't have a "Kobe stopper" type defender. Everyone they put on him was either too slow, too small, or too inexperienced. They also can't matchup against the Laker's front line. The only way they can win a game in this series is by matching the Lakers shot for shot, and I don't see that happening more than once or twice.

Gasol is the best Laker and the Lakers wouldnt be in the playoffs without him? That has to be a joke. The guy never won a damn playoff game until he got to LA. And before the whole "he was on the Grizzlies" arguement is brought up, inbetween Shaq and Gasol the Lakers had Kobe, Lamar, and gd Kwame Brown was the 3rd best player on that roster.

Apparently Dwayne Wade won the "Best Player on the Shittiest Team" Award. Congrats to him. That large lighted space in the middle of his trophy case is now complete.

Damn these playoffs are getting boring as hell. Blowouts every night it seems or at least one team with a double digit lead in the 4th quarter. First round was great, 2nd round was meh, so far conference finals have been meh as well.

Hopefully the Magic-Celtics series will turn out to be a great series.

Last night was a little disappointing, but not surprising. Suns still have a good chance for two reasons:

1) The Lakers played probably their best game of the playoffs last night. EVERYONE was hitting shots. The Suns defense wasn't great, but it also wasn't bad. The Lakers shot 58%...they won't do that again.

2) Phoenix played probably their worst game of the playoffs. Frye and Dudley couldn't hit anything, and only Dragic had a decent contribution from the best bench in the playoffs.

Neither team will continue to play at those levels. It was good to see Lopez have a solid contribution. And LA will dominate down low no matter what, but Amare has to have more than 3 rebounds. That is absolutely ridiculous. The Suns won't be done if they don't win the next one in LA....but it will be close.

Letting up 128 points would beg to differ.

58 of those came in the paint. The Suns got almost 40 out of Amare/Lopez, I wouldnt bank on getting much more than that. Their series pretty much hinges on Channing Frye and Jared Dudley

^

I'm just saying that the Lakers made everything they threw up. And it looked to me like the Suns gave up midway through the 3rd quarter.

The Suns ran into a buzz saw last night. They Lakers would have dropped 110+ on anyone in the league shooting like that.

Oh tree twister I beg to differ. Its over. It is SO over.

I am licking my chops at the thought of the playing the Celtics in the finals. Sweet sweet vengeance for Sir Kobe and LA.

I think its gonna be Lakers/Celtics in the finals

I'm simply saying the Lakers did what they were supposed to do and won game 1 on their homecourt. If they win game 2 and go up 2-0, then the Lakers did what they were supposed to. Until the Lakers steal a game in Phoenix, the series is on pace to go to 7 games

In the East however, Orlando has already lost their homecourt advantage, and I wouldn't be surprised if Boston goes up 2-0 after tonight. Imo that series is 'even more over' than the West series

if I was Wall Id want to go to the Nets.

Billionaire owner, moving to a new arena. Possibly getting Calimari.

Id trade that pick if I was Washington.

haha Howard smacked Pierce in the face, yet Orlando fans don't know how it is even a foul (let alone a flagrant, which it was)

when Howard complains about every call, it probably hurts how his teammates do or don't get foul calls...if I was a ref I wouldn't like a player as offensively impotent as Howard complaining about literally every call I made against him
