Last night I was playing a map were everyone seems to bunch up and fight each other down a few sets of corridors. So I got into my tank, all alone, and bulldozed my way through this area which shouldn't be passable with a tank. I just kept running up against the wall and somehow got the tank over an indestructible object and pulled up right behind like 8 players aiming down a corridor facing and fighting my teammates. I killed all of them in like 3 seconds, it was magical.

A few of them turned around and were like, WTF, and started jumping towards barriers, but it was all too late. My tank got moves. In celebration, I steamrolled towards their spawning area, and ran over a mine, like a total noob.

Instant Karma was instant.

I hate spawn campers, but that's probably because I would have been one of those players in the tunnel...

I presume that's with nvidia surround? Not many single monitor setups can surpass 1.5 that's pretty intense! Glad to see you're putting it to good use!

Actually, it's a favorite thing for them to build the game to scale beyond what is currently available, so maybe that's a single screen... hmm.

I really don't see why it would matter unless Frostbite 2.0 has a compatibility issue with HT. The reason I think that is review after review has shown the game requires very moderate CPU performance vs the GPU. So even if DICE optimized the engine for HT, you probably still wouldn't notice any gain vs HT off.

I don't agree with this website's review overall, but it has one of the largest CPU charts which are very similar to other sites tests.

You can see how little difference the CPU makes up to a certain point, at higher resolutions it matters even less. One benefit of using four cores or greater is the usage is spread out across all cores (40-50% usage across), while the fast dual cores have both cores at 90-100% usage. You can see that in the link above the picture.

how does the flashlight and laser sight actually help? I seems like they give away your position more than anything else.

finally found a copy of this game in stock in a store, got it at target with the B2G1. scored the limited edition for PC which I couldn't find during the kmart deal. the game plays surprisingly well on a friend's machine with a 57xx (not sure if it is 50 or 70). I'll be upgrading sooner or later to something that can run 3 monitors but I might hold out til black friday.

Woohoo! Finally got my new computer built and got this running. Now I have a shit ton of configuration and button mapping to do...

Is it possible to map crouch toggle and prone toggle (hold) onto the same key such that pressing it once crouches and holding makes you stay prone? Seems like it ought to, but it didn't work when I first tried it. Maybe I just forgot something.

UGH. To further complicate matters, I don't see that the native support - if you can even call it that - for joysticks in this game is working. The one part about this game to which I was most looking forward, and I've had to jump through all kinds of hoops just to be able to fly a plane.

Believe so. I think when you use the 360 controller the keyboard/mouse still works so you could switch back and forth whenever you want.

Anybody on PS3? I just picked this game up yesterday and did okay my first time in Multiplayer (> 1.0 K/D in TD). The animation when you get knifed from behind scared the shit out of me the first few times it happened

So as an engineer, do your mines persist between lives? I've seem to notice that they do? For each life I get like 5 mines and they seem to all hang around until the end of the game or someone rolls over them

Is there a limit to how many you can have down before some start disappearing?

So what level do you get the IRNV scope? Also I'm going to hold off on the second 580 for the moment. I'm getting a pretty constant 60 FPS average with everything maxed out at 4x MSAA at 1080p. I find it hard to justify the extra money to get 120 sustained. Although it would be sweet.

IRNV scope is based on weapon kills, I think....I have one for the SCAR-H. It's OP as hell and needs a nerf, but I love using it

The IRNV scope is only good on short range, night maps; otherwise the color contrast really delays your response when going from a lush green environment to almost an inverted blue color. It's find for day time as long as you aren't quick scoping, but I just find it hard to play with for my tactics.

My friends say that I play like a fast pace COD player, even though I haven't really liked the last few iterations of COD or the fact that I actually help my team/squad with objects.

I finally got the game to recognize my joystick, but I'm not entirely certain how I accomplished this... I reset everything and tried again last night, and it didn't fully work. It's now picking up everything except for the throttle. LOL.

How are some people getting 500+ headshots? I need to learn the bullet drop on these rifles. I never see that many people just sitting still. Have a hard time with the lead. Also sucks that snipers have bullet drop but main weapons do not. at 100-200 meters a assault with 4x can easily defeat a recon

I did notice that. The bullet drop on the snipers is significant.

I have this headset and I LOVE IT. It works great for movies, games, teleconferences, etc. The 7.1 replicated sound actually works rather well. The battery lasts a while too.

there's bullet drops for regular weapons (specially if you equip a suppressor), but yeah, its much more significant for sniper rifles.

Sniping in softcore sucks. m98 takes 2-3 hits... its a 50 cal... you arm would splinter off on impact
