Fuck off Rat Soup. You act like you are some king of baseball knowledge. Melky never even came close to a having an .800 OPS in 5 seasons and then all the sudden he has a 200 hit season with significantly more power than he's ever shown last year for KC and then is potentially going to win a batting crown this year while having a .900+ OPS. Steroids had nothing to do with it at all

Dude knows he prolonged his career with roids and was set to get a big contract at the end of this season. Melky would be playing in some independent league with Canseco and Clemens if he had not roided up last season.

If this is finalized then I feel like it works out for both teams, although it is really dangerous for the Dodgers. Sox need prospects and payroll flexibility, and although it sucks to lose Gonzalez it's more than obvious that this team isn't working and getting rid of these contracts is huge for the future of the team.

according to MLB tonight strasburg has "2 or 3" more starts before they shut him down. between that and the issue with playoff games starting and ending later, the metro shutting down at midnight, and the nats not wanting to pony up the cash to keep it running later, the postseason isn't looking so great in DC
