PackPride wants to fire Avent, it's probably a little premature.

I just keep coming back to the play where DJ Thomas comes in and strikes out Yaz (yak? whatever) and Canela blocks the ball in the dirt and can't get to it in time to throw out the hitter. Fastforward to another passed ball and a wild throw from Canela. I know he had a bad game but his mobility is a liability. I would like to see Danny DH, Matthews in Right and Austin behind the plate. Assuming we play 2 games tomorrow they will both have to catch.

Ogburn gives up a home run in the 4th. He had pitched 10 hitless innings against UNC-W previous to this. This is his 3rd time pitching against UNC-W this year.

Canela with an RBI. Ciencen with a 3 run homer. Bergquist with a 2 RBI double. UNC-W starter out, 1 out with a man on second.

Uhh, not really. Most of the guys who came out of the pen last night threw fairly few pitches. Dillon Frye threw quite a bit Friday, but should be good to go tomorrow night (if we get there) and we've got enough guys who can go tonight.

Also, that hit by Ryan Mathews was definitely a homer.

pitch count. and chris williams is our worst reliever by far, so we're not pitching him the next two games anyway.

^ he pitched our entire available bullpen except healey, orwig, williams and gilheeney. the latter two never pitch and the first two have barely thrown any innings against decent competition.

^^^Wilkins yes. Thomas has been inconsistent, but still one of our better bullpen options until having a rough last couple weeks.

Vanderbilt's remaining starters don't look particularly intimidating, except their best guy left (VerHagen) threw an inning last night so he could still go.
