I agree with DD, but the person that thought it was a good idea to schedule the game at 12:30 in August deserves a kick to the balls

i hate to admit it but i left early. that was the most uncomfortable game ive ever been to. ive been to hotter and more humid games but the sun itself was just relentless. i was wearing sunblock and still got fried because by the end of the 1st i had sweated it all off. i dont even want to know what would have happened to me had i stayed the whole game.

LOL at "wear sunblock". Yeah that might help keep you from getting sunburned, but it isn't helping you from getting dehyrated and sweating your sack off. Oh well glad I missed this game in retrospect. I'll wait for some nice October weather before I drag my family to a game.

I want the fan dedication but I don't think its fair to expect people to pay to be miserable."

To be fair, and to correct a statement I made earlier about never peacing out early, I too left this game during half time.

I waited until after David Thompson left, however, so I have no shame on that one.

The sun is not the culprit.

The same thing happens during night games.

The reason for the lack of folks in the stands at the beginning of the 2nd half are the pass-outs. Get rid of the pass-outs and more people will be in their seats to start the 2nd half.

it usually fills about 5-10 minutes into the 3rd quarter b/c that's when people finally mosey back into their seats.

Yea noon games in August sitting in the sun can be the worst. I was at that UNC/Elon game last year and thought I was going to die it was so hot. My kids were sweating bullets and were sitting under the bleachers 5 minutes into the game. Nobody from our scout Pack that got free tix made it beyond halftime. I would have been more dedicated if it was NCSU and I paid for the tickets, but I can sympathize with anybody who left early, especially if you got kids.

The sun was the the primary culprit for the for the stands being bare towards the end of the game, not the halftime passouts.

The sun was the primary culprit for the stands being bare near the end of the 3rd and 4th. I'll give you that.

However, I've been to every home game for the past 12 seasons. The stands are ALWAYS bare at the beginning of the 2nd half, and the pass-outs are to blame.

Chuck used to complain about it, O'brien even said something about it. By 2 or 3 minutes in to the 2nd quarter, the stands have filled up considerably, but when the 2nd half kicks off, it is pretty empty around the stadium. People are still filing in from tailgating.

yeah, that was definitely odd when I first started going to State games. Only other place I had been that did that was Florida. It would be pretty sweet in a more compact setting, like a stadium on campus where no matter where you park its a 5 min walk to your tailgate, but for State if you are parked way over on Blue Ridge there is no way you can get back in time

They definitely should eliminate the pass-outs. People would rather go back to their cars and pound a few beers than come back to the game, unless it's a good game against a conference opponent.

Also, the move the chains chant is retarded. We should expect to get a lot of first downs as a competent football team. Act like you've been there before.

I stuck around at that game because everyone left and we could walk down to the front row and listen to the USF defensive coordinator cuss the face off of his players for everything they did. The most unbearable game I remember was the Liberty home opener a few years back when we had a tropical storm come through the night before. It was so hot and humid at that game that a cloud of fog formed inside the stadium during the second quarter.

I don't care what personnel you have or that it doesn't fit your system. Losing to an FCS school at home is unacceptable. Won't have to worry about people leaving at halftime if they don't show up period because you can't beat FCS schools
