Dogs in both NO games, dogs @SF, @MIA, @ATL, NE. ATL at home is probably a pickem along with @AZ.

Panthers will be favored against NYJ, StL, both TB games, and probably @MIN. It's remarkably hard to make the playoffs after starting 0-2. You don't have a horrible schedule the rest of the way, but it's hardly a cake walk. Going to have to pull off a split with NO, which is tough since the Saints are arguably the third or fourth best team in the NFL right now.

Honestly, if it weren't for the potential of being Rivera'd, I'd put us as pretty close to locks for the playoffs. The NFC is pretty bad this year, and our losses so far aren't against anyone we'd be competing with for a wild card spot. If we can beat the Falcons head to head, we'll get in I think. Of course, poor coaching will lead to 3-4 more bad losses and missing the playoffs by 2 games.

So yeah it's the NFL. We could end up 5-11 or 11-5 easily. The games are that close. But the NFC is much, much weaker than we originally anticipated and we're easily one of the best teams in the NFC. We haven't dug ourselves a huge hole or anything. We're around 50/50 to make the playoffs.

Correlations that were significant and/or meaningful at a certain point are no longer necessarily meaningful now or in the future.

In other words, Let's say we win 3 out of our next 4, which is very possible given the teams we play. The fact that we started 0-2 is no longer relevant, you have to judge our playoff chances based on an 0-3 team.

Kind of like how it's hard for a team that goes down 0-14 in the first quarter to win, but if that team is ahead 21-14 by the half that stat about teams down 2 touchdowns in the first is irrelevant.

Face, your guesses at the betting lines are hilarious.

Panthers situation definitely improved after beating NYG, but odds of making the playoffs at 1-2 are still only about 24%.

I'm not saying it can't be done, but the next few weeks will probably make or break the season.
