Repost...nobody reads the bottom post.

Hodge is the freakin' man! I loved his passion and it's great to see that love for State and the fans is reciprocated. I hold a tender spot for our alumni who openly and actively support our athletics (Corchiani, Burleson and DT also come to mind), and Hodge is by far my favorite player from the Herb era.

i'm definitely digging the reemergence of hodge and the ambassador position he's taking on, regardless of anything it might do for this recruiting class.

I was getting off a plane at DCA and stepped into the nearest airport bar just in time to watch that play.

Great interview with Hodge

In addition, very good point by the host as far as talking about Sendek's lack of success and credibility after year 5, but getting a vote of confidence to move forward by his great recruiting class headed by top recruit Julius Hodge

sounds kind of familiar to Sid

^^^I remember watching that game at Stool Pigeons at 6th and Church in Charlotte...watching it again is almost chilling, its great

That shot was poetic after his phantom foul on the three point shot by UConn when he was a freshman that sealed it for UConn. IIRC there was a picture in Sports Illustrated of him lying on the floor dejected.

I'd definitely say Julius Hodge is my favorite athlete in any ncsu sport that I got to watch since I started college in 1996.

Wow, I had forgot how UCONN scored the basket to tie it up. Talk about some shit. We got the rebound, fumble it around, and it eventually lands in Villanueva's hands. Uncontested layup.

If Hodge hadn't hit that shot, then holy shit I would've been mad.

But he did, then I threw my remote so hard across the room that it shattered a picture frame. Easily the most memorable sports moment during my four years at state.

Was that Ed Nelson who flopped on that Hodge play?

Very vague memories of that game

Yeah i remember taking off work to watch that game and when Hodge made that shot, Goddamn I remember yelling for like 30 minutes with friends of mine!!

Julius Hodge is by far one of my top three favorite NCSU athletes of all time along with Torry Holt and Rivers!

But Hodge's in your face personality trumps both of them!! he was the fuckign man!!

My three favortie recent NC State athletes:

1. Greg Golden
2. Adam Harrington
3. Dennis Horner

Imagine how bad ass NC State would have been last year if we had Golden in the secondary making huge picks and flapping his arms like a bird before he fumbles a punt.

Also a 1-2 combo of Horner and Harrington would have made most opposing coaches cry. How you going to stop the Horner triple head fake and the Harrington "i have no teammates, lets shoot from half court" offense. Unstoppable.

So Harrow is coming to State b/c we have a Bojangles on Western. And all this time I thought it was Lowe who was bringing in these recruits.

Bojangles for AD!

There is about to be a second Bojangles near State. Maybe we'll have the #1 recruiting class for years to come.

whether or not we get CJL depends a lot on how much he loves Bojangles, since there are no Bojangles in Kentucky

^^^

It isn't in walking distance of campus, but it is down by the Wake-Med Soccer Field. Should help to alleviate lines for tailgating at the one on Western. That just means there will be more Bo-Berry Biscuits for Ryan in a 10 mile radius.

First Bojangles in Cary ever. They won't allow orange roofing. This one has copper.

There was a guy with "inside information" at the bar last night who got a tip that the staff is working to get CJL signed today. I doubt it honestly, but hey, if it's true, you heard it here first.

^ I seriously doubt that the staff is focusing on CJL today. I mean I guess they could if CJL is in Greensboro, but with the FSU game tonight they have more pressing concerns at this moment. I do hope we can win tonight and keep the momentum. Maybe CJL will get emotionally into the run and sign with us. Doubtful because you know UK and Calipari have $texas waiting for him in Lexington.
