The Swiftkey 3 Beta is really awesome. I dig that keyboard. It has an ICS comparable theme too.
http://vip.swiftkey.net/index.php?/topic/3375-swiftkey-3-beta-download-phone/
Quote : | "Hi VIPs,
We have some wonderful news. Despite our attempts to fool you on April 1, we do in fact have a brand new version of SwiftKey available, and it's packed full of fantastic new features - including a bigger spacebar! Say hello to our SwiftKey 3 Beta. We've made some major leaps forward and can't wait for you to try it.
Smart Space - We've revolutionized SwiftKey's language engine to cope with missed or mistyped spaces across long strings of sloppy text. So, even if you make lots of typos and miss multiple spaces, it'll still make sense. For example, "Lleasexqllme" becomes "Please call me" or "Swidykeuvroxla" becomes "SwiftKey rocks"! Two stunning new themes - our 'Cobalt' default theme, and the ICS-inspired theme you voted for, called 'Holo'. A larger spacebar - We joked about it, but here it actually is. One of the largest spacebars you'll find on a touchscreen keyboard. Smart Symbol - No long-press required, just slide left off the period to quickly access common punctuation. Back-up - Worried about losing your learned words? SwiftKey 3 now supports the Android Backup Service*, meaning your learned language data is saved by Google into the cloud if you opt in. Never lose your personal dictionary again! (*if this service is enabled on your device) Smarter punctuation - Smart, language-specific punctuation (for example: Bonjour !).
Please post any bugs that you spot in the Bug report forum, and let us know what you think of the new features in the Discussion forum.
Additionally, the following new languages will be available in this Beta:
Estonian Icelandic Korean Latvian Lithuanian Persian (Farsi) Serbian
Please post your feedback about these languages in the appropriate area of the Language Testing forum.
Once again, SwiftKey 3 changes the game of text input. We couldn't possibly have gotten where we are without all of you fantastic VIPs and your feedback! We hope that you enjoy the changes we're making. Please let us know your thoughts about SwiftKey 3 in the VIP Forum.
We're looking forward to growing even more with you in the future.
Best Regards,
Evan " |

I think the first graph is sales, and the second is what % of devices run each OS...so *all* devices, not just sales.

I was asking a month or so ago about an Android equivalent to the iPod Touch. It looks like Samsung is trying to fill that gap with a $150 3.6 inch media player and a $200 4.2 incher.
Too bad they only run Gingerbread though.

Which is a better phone? the galaxy nexus or the HTC Evo 4G LTE? one has Super AMOLED one has Super LCD.. Also the Galaxy nexus has a barometer! 4/17/2012 8:30:36 AM |

so I fail at finding what I'm looking for via google, so I'm asking you guys.
I have a driod x, and am looking for a good music player. I'm wanting something that will let me choose a folder of music I want to play, or an album, or just a random bunch of songs. I had winamp, but it would just put all the music I had on the phone as one playlist, which isn't want I want.
I have my music folder, within it I have several folders of music. I want to fire up a music player, choose a folder, and play only the music contained in said folder. Is there one that does this? 4/17/2012 9:49:30 AM |

i'm in the same dilemma
i think i've decided to get the galaxy nexus though for the dev community. the evo ROMs out there are plentiful but hideous. the nexus will keep me happy for the next 2 years i think. 4/17/2012 11:47:27 AM |

^^Does Google Music do that? I saw a well received media player on reddit last night that may be worth checking out. It's on sale too. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=gonemad.gmmp
^^^I'm getting the Nexus because I want a Google phone and have basically been waiting for so long that at this point I feel almost obligated to get it. And because I wanted to take advantage of a $75 service credit as well as the $50 in GWallet.
I've had the Hero, Evo4G, Evo3D, Nexus S4G. If you're willing to wait for the Evo LTE then you should also be considering the Galaxy SIII which should be announced before the LTE goes on sale. I don't think the differences in specs are so mindblowing-ly apart that it should have more of an influence than the phone's design, community, and Sense 4.0 skin.
I've always been a fan of HTC, but I think the lack of support in the Evo3D developer community compared to the Evo 4G and also the Samsung devices that were coming out at the time ultimately turned me.
tl;dr I don't think it's as cut and dry as the question suggests. It's a personal choice and you can find as much influence from one side as you can the other.

On a side note, this type of usage spawned much more quickly than I thought. I've been using it in my NFC arguments for a while (along with the food court proof of concept table a while back). I had no idea people were already doing it. Bought a 10 pack of stickers from tagsfordroid last night.

I've been using ICS ports since around December and CM9 for weeks now. No complaints.
I've noticed battery drain being an issue for me lately, but I don't see anything glaring, probably the clock/performance mode I have it set to. 4/17/2012 11:19:52 PM |

I've had an ics rom running for a while with only minor problems.. the biggest issue is that it will occasionally lose its connection to Google servers (effectively shutting down any data) until I reboot it
that and the battery life isn't as good as GB
just wondering if the "official" 4.0.4 has any huge flaws that should keep me from moving to that 4/19/2012 9:12:30 AM |

^^ That has been my biggest complaint with my Nexus since I got it in February. Losing data access, even on WiFi, because the phone can't connect to Google Services is annoying as shit. Supposedly the phone is still supposed to be able to get data without GS, but it only seems to not lose its data connection if the connection was established prior to losing connection to GS. Ie, if you're streaming music and lose the GS connection, your music will keep streaming, but if you're not doing anything and then try to connect to the internet after losing the GS connection, most of the time it won't work until you get connected back to GS.
I love everything else about the phone so I'm hoping that the data connection issue will be resolved with an ICS update. 4/19/2012 2:34:40 PM |

so my DX (vzw) is finally starting to crap out (rebooting multiple times per day, slowness, and the screen is separating). What's the best option? Razr Maxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or Nexus? I haven't heard any concrete details of upcoming devices (though, there are always new devices coming out). I guess the next biggest thing is quad-core, e.g. Moto Fighter? Which I've heard could be released in May or not until December...
VZW Not into roms, etc. I'll root if/when necessary (my current DX can't easily be rooted, so I've lived without it for a while) for certain apps/functionality (wireless tether, mainly, if vzw hasn't figured a way to block it completely)
