Wow this is a crazy turn of events. It will be interesting to see if CJL does anything soon as a result. I'm not that upset by Luke's decision. I didn't even think about the comparison to Costner, but I guess it makes sense.

I think the comparison to Costner is silly. We don't know what kind of college player Cothron is going to be. and I don't get the hate towards Costner. I know he could be lazy, and would disappear in games, but come'on.

^^^^ Even if true, he's an 18 year-old kid. I'm 24 and I don't like people calling me out on decisions I make or questioning my motives. This had to be a tough decision for him, and it's probably one he didn't want to give ammo to the masses about to question his decision/character all over internet message boards.

Obviously he could have handled the whole situation better, but again, he's 18. 18 year-olds handle far bigger concerns more poorly everyday, only they don't have a public spotlight trained on them when they do it. Cut the kid a break and move on because it sounds like he has.

all the guys on scout have been on less than good terms with cothron from day 1. Not sure if he's just an odd character or what but you usually see even the guys with character/game questions treated well by them. For instance, I think Telep said Painter was one of the kids he was rooting for most from last years class, despite the fact that he went from a top 20 kid to a top 120 kid

As far as I was concerned, Cothron was not "committed" when he didn't sign in the fall. He wanted to see his recruitment play out. That is understandable. Now decommitting at this late date (when he was clearly weighing his options out for the last 4 months) does not make it seem likely that he ends up at NCSU.

I'm reading in a few places that Terrance Jones is close to committing to UK. Does this help a lot with Leslie? Or would Leslie play more of a 3 than 4 in that offense?

He may fall to us by default if Jones pulls the trigger, though it's still uncertain. I've read he was close to UW in the past and that hasn't happened yet.
