Um, calling the timeout with :35 left down by four with the ball in our PG's hand at half court was just not a good call. I don't care how much basketball you think you know...

You always try and go right to the basket and get a quick two and then you can either set up the press or call timeout and get everything set up from there. You don't waste your last timeout to set up a play to potentially cut it to two. Especially when the team you're playing is so awful at the line.

I'm not going to be overly critical today, because I think the team did some nice things and certainly didn't back down... well the only thing I'll be critical about is skipping out on the handshake. Totally classless and I don't care how mad you are at the officiating.

He is a good recruiter, moron.

JJ Hickson we came out of nowhere for and got a top 10 recruit after chasing him for one year.

Tracy Smith, he was a solid recruit we got after chasing him for one year.

Ryan Harrow and Lorenzo Brown are TOP recruits that he nabbed despite the fact that we suck.

CJ Leslie is an ELITE recruit that he landed who decommitted because our program was in turmoil.

Cothron is a big recruit who we have a soft verbal from.

Howell was a big recruit who ended up being much better than advertised who we landed.

Wood and Javi were relative no names that we landed who are MUCH better than advertised.

Josh Davis was a TOTAL no name that we landed who is much better than scouts thought.

Vandenburg is a TOTAL no name who has shown potential.

Mays and CJ are the only guys who havent worked out so far. Mays was a panic signing because we needed a stopgap at PG and CJ had one good season and one bad so the jury is still out.

It's not his fault our would be seniors have been hurt so much Degand and Thomas and it's not his fault that Horner was the only one who stuck around and he sucks.

He has several near misses that I'm confident will be gets once we turn things around next year.

Lowe gets some leeway because we've seen the players he's bringing in next year. Plus, being a likable guy and a legend at State gets him some extra room for error.

But to me, the biggest thing is that Sid really does have incredible upside as a coach. He's a smart guy with plenty of NBA connections, meaning recruiting will be gangbusters if we ever start winning consistently.

Bottomline, he really hasn't had much to work with thus far (which is partly his fault). Despite this, we've managed to be pretty competitive the last two seasons. I think everyone just wants to see what he does with 2 elite-level guards coming in.
