i wrote off cj a year ago...convinced he's going to uk.
i hate the fact that i'm starting to feel even remotely optimistic about him again
people, what % chance do u think there is that cj reads this shit? he's mentioned the internet and stories contained within on a number of occasions...whats the chances that he actually lurks round these parts? 3/31/2010 12:49:34 AM |

McDonald's All-American game tonight at 8:00pm on ESPN featuring Duke's Kyrie Irving, Carolina's (overated) Kendall Marshall (shoulda been Ryan), Reggie Bullock, and Harrison Barnes, along with CJ Leslie.

I really think CJ Leslie is going to Duke.
As much as it pains me to say that it's my gut feeling.
Gives them a great shot at two straight titles.
Irving/Nolan Smith at the guards with Dawkins off the bench.
Singler, Leslie, Plumlee with the other Plumlee and Kelly off the bench.
That's probably the #1 preseason pick.. 3/31/2010 7:39:37 PM |

CJ Leslie will be going to UK. Just a guess, but if he was gonna recommit to State he would've done it by now. 3/31/2010 7:48:15 PM |

^^ I would be really surprised. It is going to be KY and if not them I think we have a shot. Here's hoping Calipari gets caught soon for the undoubtedly shady stuff he is doing at KY. 3/31/2010 7:51:41 PM |

WTF Does CJ think his playing time will go down too far with the new guards coming in or something?
He had a few good games all season evne though they were towards the end I don't see why duke would want him. That said, this kills our depth and I could see him becoming really good like a demarcus nelson after going to duke. Ncstate shit. If he sits out a year he'll be a jr in 2011-12 right? 3/31/2010 7:52:25 PM |

i'm afraid he probably won't be coming here. but that logic is suspect. i mean, if he was going to commit to kentucky, wouldn't he have done it by now?

Orton declared for the draft. And from what I've HEARD Bledsoe will as well.
So with Dodson transferring and Wall, Cousins and Orton officially gone and Bledsoe likely as well CJ Leslie would have to be nuts to go there... They are going to go from no NCAA to legit title contender (oops) to no NCAA in a heartbeat.
Of course the lure and pull of Mr. William Wesley knows no bounds so who knows...
**** Orton is "testing his stock" but with the pending labor dispute you have to be a moron to waste your testing this year if you don't intend on entering the draft. Then again you aren't exactly Rhode's Scholar material if you play for Cheating Cal.

yeah if that happened along with Leslie and with the dookies gettign Seth Curry off the bench...you could go ahead and punch their final four ticket again...damn dont they get enough good luck...but yeah someone said something about if he was going to commit he would have done it by now....
i think if we dont hear anything from CJ before April is over then we can rest assure he's going elsewhere....dang why cant Julius Hodge have like a brother whose is graduating from HS and is a crazy baller .....we'll see.... 3/31/2010 11:25:23 PM |

Kentucky has their claws in 4 or 5 McD's all-americans who are currently "undeclared". If they land any or all of those players they will have another season just like this past one - youngest most talented team in america. Except this time they will have almost no senior leadership (i.e. Patterson, etc.)
So, while CJ will get lots of exposure playing for Kentucky and being "the next John Wall" I doubt they will have anywhere close to the same result as this year.
If CJ comes here, however, we have senior leadership, a talented group of rising sophomores, and a killer freshman class coming in. Sounds like a recipe for success to me 4/1/2010 10:01:19 AM |

no, not like when jj was here. Its obvious that we wont have the same chemistry issues this time around between the current players and the incoming freshmen - as evidenced by Tracy going out to dinner with CJL. I also feel like our team is a lot more of a tight-knit group now then we were when JJ was here. I dont know if thats cause they are all Sid's recruits or not.4/1/2010 1:37:03 PM |

Quote : | "To recap I think CJ will go to Kentucky for several reasons: 1) Kentucky gets way more exposure than we do. 2) Coach Cal has a history of sending multiple players into the NBA as high draft picks after just 1 year. 3) CJ decommitted from State last year. 4) One of the reasons he and several other 5* players are waiting to commit to UK is to make sure 3 or 4 guys go pro so there will be plenty of playing time. 5) Coach Cal has taken 3 teams to the Elite 8 or beyond, Coach Lowe has not even had a winning record in conference.
CJ is close friends with Harrow and knows a lot of players on the State team but that is not enough in my opinion to overcome all of the above. He probably would choose State in an ideal world but at the end of the day feels UK will be a better choice in the long-run when comparing the two programs." |

the NJIT thing was a little much.
but no, when it comes to a blue chipper like him, I think he could play for any school in any one of the Power 6 conferences or a handful of mid-majors and still get picked in the top-10 4/1/2010 5:33:13 PM |
